  1. Very Nice Senor Pepper. nut gone swinging london. Good to have Saitch back-I tried posting on Ipswich but it didn't work. I predicted this result as well. Plenty to smile about now.

  2. Wotcha Filthy, perhaps the inner Saitch felt the Ipswich result was bad enough without everyone chiming in. Still I assure you ("onest Guv") there was no interference from Yer Man At The Controls. But what about Saturday, wicked result or what ?

    1. Well I won't comment on your Ipswich result, seein as how our manager is in a bit of bovver hisself, if you know what I mean. At least you got one over on your arch rivals. Congratulations.
Didn't know you were into the Small Faces, Andy.

  3. Sounds like they dug deep, pulled together, etc. That's what Alf is all about. I reckon they'll be feeling pretty pumped from that and they'll push on and win the next few. Oh, hang on, it is West Ham we're talking about...

  4. Bon Retour Chiv, merci for your mercy regarding "The Ipswich Incident". As for Arry, proof for sure that you can take the boy out of Green Street, but you can't take the Green Street out of the boy. As a nipper I saw him on the pitch many a time, as we sang "We've Got Arry Arry Arry Redknapp, On The Wing, On The Wing". The jury is out for real and I reckon he'll get slapped, but not banged up ! As for The Itchycoo Park Posse - Deep Joy !

  5. With one man tied behind our back too!!
A stellar performance to erase the memory, and worthy of both Alfs.
I'm sure it would have been a night to remember Up West.
    Bragging rights!!

  6. Filthy, the 10 men standing played for 89 minutes and not only stuck together, but took the game to The Lions. Mentions in despatches must be made for The King of Canning Town, Ladies Choice and Le Poumon Noir ("Ca Va Chiv ?"). As for Cap'n Nolan a well deserved rest perhaps ?

    1. Tuppers 2- 3D Alf on the touchline, 2D Alf in the comics, an inspiration to us all, and a reminder of Fish & Chips gone by.

  8. Gotcha Smitty, I know what you mean about Chish & Fips. If 2D Alf was about now he'd probably be munching ramen noodles ! As for Alfie G, you know I have no memory of him being on the box and on Green Street at the same time. I think the whole show used to take place indoors.

  9. I'd like to think that 2D Alf would have a chip pan with lard over the welding torch before he'd ramen.

  11. Encore Une Chose Chiv, I see 'Arry got off, so it might be time to crank up the Dave Clark Five ? By the way the old Hammers' Redknapp song mentioned earlier, was to the tune of "Ging Gang Goolie Goolie Goolie Whatcha".

  14. Guilty as charged Filthy, "sarcasm is the lowest form of wit" and all that. But without a trip to the Knackers Yard to unload all that dead weight, it might as well be the Couldnt Care Less+ Clueless combo we suffered last season.
