So, a nailbiter in front of the home crowd, just what the Dr ordered. Hopefully the Saints will go down in ingnominious style and the real Irons will show up to a roaring end of season tumult from the home faithful.
I'm gonna hate doing this in a few years time with a dodgy ticker.
If the Saints do win on Saturday Smitty, they'll be at least two more knuckle gnashers and hopefully three. But as you say it wouldn't it be nice to finish on Green Street last match of the regular season. Come On You Irons !
Southampton can't lose to Coventry....can they? It'll be fun at Upton park. Young boys in shorts and caps holding transistor radios to their ears to hear the latest from the south coast..........Hammers just have to do their job. Cole and Vaz Te a good double act?
It's Cliche' Time Filthy, "last day of the season - anything can happen - it's a funny old game" etc, etc. Still there's nothing to be gained by being a realist at this point in time. All we can do is win and I reckon it's time for TaVez to add to his tally - I could see Cole starting with him, but we may have to spice it up during the match !
Filthy, Anyone can lose to anyone on any given day and at least it makes for an exciting finish. Is it likely, probably not but we have a long tradition of agony & exstasy at the Hammers, this only adds to it.
Promoted or play-offs? Hull of S'amptin? Selling Tomka or keeping im home? Let the people CHEER this coming May Day!! Justice reigns! The Grand West Ham will conquer tmra!! We ex-pats in American will rise! at the unGodly hour of 6 am to cheer!!
I'll be up, bright, breezy and ready to storm the ramparts CBTG. Lets hope that both us and Coventry (away at Southampton and already relegated) can carry the day.
"....And gentlemen in E.13, now abed shall think themselves accursed they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon st Tomkins day!" Enjoy the morning glory!
