Swansea City v West Ham

  1. Whatever Alf's game plan was, it sure didn't work, although I doubt it included us gifting them 2 goals in the first half. I must fess up, that having spent last season following the 2nd Division, I never realised what a footballing side the Swans are. I'd heard the odd thing or two, but they were much better than I expected. As for The Hammers, I don't think anyone put it in a shift. Wouldn't be suprised if the Wrath of Tupper is still echoing around the away changing room at Liberty Stadium.

  2. Last year Swansea played some loverlee football and were physically strong at home as well. Looks like the same again this season with their new gaffer. I reckon, you need to get in there, close them down, stop them passing, stick to your man....Don't think the Hammers did that, and a couple of calamities didn't help! Still think Alf (2 packs of Wrigleys per game) should of had them drilled for that.
I thought CC was cool in his twitter response to the Southend "racist".

  3. Filthy, until Jussi ballsed up (Swans first attempt at goal) ?) I thought we might just be able to keep "The Barcelona of Wales" at bay. But once Ginge pulled that Sunday morning backpass, we had a mountain to climb. Still can't quite figure out what Alf wanted Tomka to do, is he thinking of him as a midfielder ?
I read Iain Dale's excellent interview with Carlton on the West Ham Till I Die site, CC seems like a very likeable chap. I'm glad that they caught that racist pillock, could give the Kursaal a bad name - I propose a lifetime ban from Rossi's ice cream !

  4. There isn't much to say about this one. We went in very defensively and when you make 2 unforced mistakes and give a team that is known to keep possession very well 2 goals then its game over. I don't think you can say anyone on West Ham played well.
