  1. Even #1 son from Hull couldn't be that confident. But he were right!!
Shabby performance, gonna be a looong season.

  2. Must confess that I missed the whole match Smitty,as I was in Philly and on the move. I was hoping that the claret & blue taxi I rode in (common there) would be something of a good luck charm, but right now it seems to be bad luck (soft early penalty) or no luck at all !

  3. Would take a strong man to watch that. Early one for them, sit at the back all match while we show againn'again that we can't finish what we start.

  4. I'm not one to panic Smitty, but I'd like to think I occasionally cross paths with reality. The Maiga/Nolan combo ain't working and we can't just sit around and wait for AC's return - so instead we just wait for Carlton or Petric to get match fit ?

  5. Try panicing , clears the system!
Seriously, not yet time to lose it completely but time for serious concern, and something creative from Alf.
Svelt or no, I don't think CC is the answer.

  6. Perhaps not "the answer" Smitty, but an improvement over Maiga's recent efforts surely ? Still I don't think he's even had a competitive practise match thjis season, so he's unlikely to be in the squad for the upcoming showdown at the White Hart Lane Corrall...

  7. Agreed we need to try something, but will he show any better than his last outings. The line for him on his time on the market wasn't very long for a reason.
Spuds away! Now there's one to see who's got the gonads. Looks pretty bad but who knows with us, we could show them the door - and then I woke up.

  8. As Billy Bonds would say when faced with superior opposition "It's time to get yer shorts dirty " !

  9. Not sure they're allowed to get those Versace jobbers they have nowadays soiled, but I agree entirely.

  10. Evening all, we'll it is here. First time back this season and agree it's going to be a long one. Was at the Stoke and Everton games gutted in both. Stoke we could have played all weekend and not scored and once the second half started Everton took us apart.
Think the two David's (aka the Chuckle Bros) have dropped one with AC spent the majority of the budget and taken a massive chunk of the salary allowance. Now we can't bring another decent player in until we sell someone, and nobody wanted any of them. So to quote Bonnie Tyler we are looking for a hero and I think Elliot Lee could be the one just seems to be a natural goal scorer. I remember in the past when the likes of Hartson or Teves have arrived on the scene and turned our season around, we can only hope. With the Spuds and City as our next games could well be in the bottom three soon.
Great art work AP as usual, let's keep the faith and hope our hero turns up soon.COYI

  11. Cool to have you back on Saitch George. There's no denying a bollock or two has been dropped on the transfer front - what on earth were we doing spending the rest of our pocket money on Downing when we were obviously short a striker ? Anyway were in the trenches now and will have to fight our way out. Couldn't agree more about Elliot Lee and I know Mr Smitty is on the same page - as they used to say "we blood 'em young at West Ham" - give the lad a match Alf !

  12. Smitty here with a deffo Yo to Mr Lee.
Since we bet the ranch on AC, and still haven't made the point , we won't know till we know, whenever that may be. All the secondary maybes are still feeling their feet. And we have a young gun straining at the leash, maybe the biggest spark in the team so far this year, or at worst some excitement and a ray of hope for the faithful. Wadda we do ?
Wait for CC to work off the cheeburgies!!
I'm gonna support Accrington Stanley, easier on the arteries.

  13. Bet you don't even know where Stanley is ?

  14. Your a tough man Don't Hurt 'Em no doubt about it ! Not sure that David & David will be expecting anything from the next two matches, but we're already in the bottom 3 so that 3rd match is going to be crucial. Still I don't see Alf Tupper under threat - yet...
