  1. There must be words for this, but I'm not actually sure what they would be.
I think once started you could write a book but I think
    IROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS!
    will suffice.

  2. Even when we went two nil up Smitty, I was thinking Spuds could get back in this , but when Ravel "Boleroed" (rhymes with Aero) the ball all the way from our half to the back of their net....it was strictly Bubbles Time until the final whistle !

  3. "Mashed The Spuds" (Hull City comments) - love that Slippery ! What were those ads on the box with the Instant Potatoes and Robots ? Was it Cadbury's Smash ??

  4. It was possible, but even if they had, at least we looked the business - but they didn't !
Once again I've forgotten where Stanley is, I looked it up before.

  5. Chapeau to Alf - he finally accepted we haven't got any strikers, so he went with six midfielders instead. It won't work all the time, but it sure as hell just worked in N17 !

  6. Correctomundo A.P "They peel them with their metal knives..then they mash them all to bits" Tasted rank as well..
"Singing in the Rhine".,.sorry couldnt resist it...Great Saitch A.P ..
Big Sam doing the crossed Hammers at the end of the game....great...
Villas Boas...so glad we stuck it to him...cant stand the bloke...reminds me of a sweaty arsed soap dodger..he wouldnt look out of place if you stuck him on an old wheelbarrow and went out doing 'Penny for the Guy ' with him as the Guy...Tramp

  7. Couldn't be better with the International Break coming right on it's tails either Slippery. Nothing for the Spuds to do but sit in it right now - How Sweet It Is !

  8. Here in Brooklyn, NY the 'Spurs fans are still in a state of shock. No strikers... WTF?

  9. Ahoy there Club Penguins, I hope the Brooklyn Hammers are enjoying the current "Climate" ! No strikers was good enough for Spain to win the Euros and it was good enough for us to "Mash Down The Spuds" (copyright Slippery) ! I still can't wipe the smile of my face. Your post has just prodded me to blow the dust off my copy of The Upsetter's "Shocks Almighty" !

  10. For mash get smash...yup it was cadbury's. I've been away on my travels (rhymes with Ravels) and what a way to get back into the routine. I was expecting more frustration, but Alf came up trumps, with the formation, tactics and a nice little freekick routine that nearly paid off. and ten Mr Morrison un-ravelling the spuds defence single handedly....wonderful stuff...and well captured Mr P. My only concern was the colour of Alf's face in the first half. Claret and blue at the same time!

  11. Welcome back Filthy, in all the jubilation I'd forgotten to mention that sweet free kick chip by Noble to Nolan - it nearly went in too ! From my POV (about 6 inches from the laptop screen) Nobby had their goalie beaten.

  12. While we're all talking about the match and the score, let's not forget why we're here - this is one of the Man's best collages too, I think

  13. Nice to see you Billy - flattery will get you everywhere

  14. I see Carlton's resigned fro 3 months and Ravel had another scorcher for the England Under 21's it's turning into quite a couple of weeks for us !

  15. After all this kerfuffle I think CC will be lucky to start in the 3 months. Ravel seems to be on a roll and the others seem to be doing ok, with a few looking to come back from injury.

  16. I expect Carlton to start at some point Smitty, but I can't see it being against Citeh. Lets hope Ravel keeps rollin', 3 goals in 2 games (OK 2 foe U-21's) - but why stop now ?

  17. I seem to have lsot the ability to spell the word for - F-O-R - 3 letters, shouldn't be that hard, let me try again - for ! That's better !!

  18. Can't see it anytime soon personally, but I've been wrong before.

You got the hang of it now - well done

  19. And I thought that was NY street speak, rhyming with Yo...Carlton will be there if needed and that's probably enough.

  20. Wotcha Filthy, lets not forget Petric got 90 minutes in the "Behind Closed Doors" kickabout with Charlton over the break too. Also read Ginge done his hamstring playing for Wales, so Tomka should be a First Team regular for a while now - he looked good against Spuds. Citeh can be taken - Come On You Irons !

  21. I see Kompany's out, so time to put pressure on their defence.

  22. Joe Hart's not exactly the Rock of Gibraltar either is he ?
