  1. Watcha think Mr P. Up to our knees and sinking fast or not too late for the cavalry in January, if we can rent some cavalry that is.
I think AC or no AC we're going to need more.

corse that will all change when we tonk Chelsea 3-1

  2. I've got to admire your spirit Mr Smitty "tonk Chelski" - now thats what I call fightin' talk!

  3. If the fans went 4 rounds 3-1 would deffo be the result.
Our 11, wishful thinking, but if we can't beat a bunch of tweety birds what else is left.
Still we did it last year, perhaps we can only punch above our weight - sometimes.
Got anymore straws I can grab for.

  4. Less said about the Norwich game the better. Jussi drops it and the whole shebang falls apart! Quite often get it together against Chelsea (quite often don't!) and they are fragile.....

  5. To be fair to Jussi, he particularly and the defence in general are what has saved our asses this year and before. The comments from BFS for this whopper are
disgraceful. We owe him big time.

  6. In full agreement about how many times Jussi has come to our rescue Smitty. World class saves are such a frequent event watching West Ham they are often taken for granted. I'd accept a dig about Jussi from Alf, if he ever had a go at Nobby Nolan but as far as I can tell he never has. Still if Jussi got to a play a howler I guess Norfolk as good a place as any - lets hope that's it for him this season. If Chelski are on form he's going to be busy !

  7. Jussi's earned his salt many times over. A mistake here and there is perfectly acceptable for him. I'm afraid Alf and his mates need to answer for themselves. Whereas it was OK to get draws at Villa and others, it has to stop somewhere, and Norfolk is a good place to stop.
Chelsea could be glorious or terrible. If it's terrible.........

  8. I'm just trying to put a bit of a shine on what as the Saitch reflects is a horrorific situation Filthy. I'd been thinking that whatever his short comings may be at least Alf Tupper had rid us of our propensity for collapse. To cave in to Norwich after dominating the first half chucks that theory out with the three points we should have won. We have no striker and now have lost Winston Reid, things are not looking "as the should" and January seems far far away !

  9. Well Mr P, I've been sitting here for nearly 10 minutes now trying to think of something positive to say and all I've come up with is the amazing capacity for football fans to forget the bad and remember the good. So ..2 months, 6months, 1 year, 2years...down the line there'll be good things to look back on and the last 2 months will be forgotten. Beating Spuds in the cup would be the perfect place to start ( and Chelsea on Saturday for that matter)

  10. I'm sure the blind geezer in "Kung Fu" would have the words we seek, but he is no longer with us and I don't have a DVD. I should have snapped up that Kung Fu Annual I spotted down Brick Lane. Still I can recall the mantra of the mighty Billy Bonds - "It's time to get yer shorts dirty" ! Come On You Irons !!!!

  11. I think "Bonds, Billy Bonds" take is more appropriate than some whispered words on grasshoppers.
What's the kit lady for anyway! (always used to be a lady)

  12. I would imagine the proper 21st Century description would probably be Kit Person Filthy, although I do actually think we have a geezer in the job. If it were up to me anyone with the surname Carson would be ideal !
