  1. Looking good, seems AC turned up the heat well.
Shame the silly sod had to go and break something.
Still, 3 points and lets hope it ain't too bad and he's back soon.

  2. Smitty,
"Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this son of Newcastle".
Watched on the box - the big Geordie looked great until he grabbed his hamstring, so here's hoping he hasn't pulled it. Straight up, everyone in claret and blue put in a shift. What a difference from this time last week !

  3. Just walk away renee.... Briiliant! The four tops, such Sweet harmoneee. Sounds like it was a Tupper special- a left, then a right, then a left and a ....Quite right- had to pummel the softies. 3 points in the bank. Very nice and AC looking happy even if knacked.

  4. Must confess it was the finest all round team performance seen in some time Filthy. Could have easily been four up by half-time and lets not forget Jussi made a couple of decent saves before the final whistle. The 24 stop District Line ride home for The Cottagers' (Fulham Broadway Stn) must have been a glum one and Berbatov's first ride on the Tube in some time !

  5. point of correction on the district line: Putney bridge is where they "alight" so it's another 2 after the Broadway, and that's a long time without a fag for the "Bulgarian beauty". Saw highlights on Match of the Day with Harry Redknapp trying to fit into a tailored lilac shirt to be a proper pundit. He was very impressed with the Hammers. They did look like a happy, confident team!

  6. A lilac shirt - must have matched 'Arry's boat race ! Although I'm not sure about the 'tailored" bit ?

  7. Okay, I still love Tomka. But wots a girl to do when we suddenly get A Carroll!!?

And he needs TLC to help heal him now!!

    3 - Nil!

I march forward with my claret and blue-- if fickle-- heart!

  8. It's great to have you back CBTG, as they say it's important to have competition for all the spots on the team, including "Ladies Choice" !

  9. Although its yet to be officially confirmed, according to the Knees Up Mother Brown site Andy Carroll has "done his hamstring" and will be out for six weeks. On top of that new Liverpool manager Brendan Foster is claiming on the BBC that Liverpool can call him home in the January transfer window ! Either way, we shall lose him for at least 4 games and should be grateful that the current International break has bought us a couple of weeks. Once again a West Ham big time signing gets injured straight away - we do have the knack(ered) !

  10. yup, I saw that as well. i guess he'll need nursing. Any volunteers?

  11. I think CBTG has already nabbed that spot and hopefully Cap'n Nobby Nolan will see he goes easy on the Newcy Brown.

  12. It's been announced on the BBC AC is out for 6 weeks as feared, which is about 5 games. An opportunity for Carlton, Maiga and young Rob Hall to set out their stalls !

  13. I agree about the "long" Filthy, but look on the bright side - Tough OF The Track gets a chance to work with " the shopping" (training in deep sea divers boots, et) and we kill a bit of AC's hamstring time. I'll reserve comment on the "painful" until we see what nick everyone gets back in, we have Irons in the African qualifiers too !

  14. Have to mention Hillsborough...At last the police have been forced to admit to their incompetence that resulted in 96 people being killed, AND to their criminal cover up accusing fans to save their faces.Charges?

  15. As you will no doubt see Filthy, I've made a special Hillsborough post.
