Good one Mr P. Sunderland were never going to give it away, they're trying to get to the magic 40 points one at a time. Good goal from Downing. Penalty? On a good day, No, if the moon isn't lined up with Saturn then Yes.
Yeah, nice one. Penalty was a bit iffy, but about on par for reffin nowadays. But were we Down hearted? Yep , for a few minutes till Down inged (Ouch)
Carrol's bloody feet were as good as I think they are as usual. If he's up at Leicester and doesn't score a couple get him out of here. I'd put money he won't, but still be here.
They weren't as easy as they seem looking at the table but maybe we bring out the best in clubs I think we need Valencia if possible Sackem and Zarate to add some speed and unpredictability up front at Leicester. I'd hate to make them look good.
Totally unrelated note, Burnley are off the bottom 3, pleased about that, they deserve it.
one of yer best so far A.P...'.Nice one cyril' (Name of me little Budgie best mate Cyril who died a year ago today)
'Malice in Sunderland' the ref Phil Dowd (he who the other year at old trafford in the F.A.Cup replay gave them a dodge pot penalty...then didnt give us a blatant spot kick..and never sent off paul ginger bollox scholes for an even dodgier foul..calling him back with the pally pally smile on his boat 'Scholesy')...must have drunk from the bottle labelled 'Drink Me' watching M.O.T.D that night and started shrinking into his arm chair after seeing Sunderlands Johnson dive as if he was on 'Das Boot' the 'shwine Hund
Didnt like Downing last season (couldnt cross his eyes let alone a ball) but beginning to grow on me a little this season
Leicester wont be a push over on saturday so lets hope the team play with the same resolve as of late ...C.O.Y.I
I'll take all the compliments I can get - cheers Slippery ! He's not as consistent as I would like, but when he's "on it" Downing's a whole other beast this season, especially when he's able to play a little more central. Going to be a test of the team to get the job done against Leicester, eyes down and get the the 3 points after they've won they can go about giving it the extra !
I see Noble's still out, but looking "hopeful" for Boxing Day - he will be needed ! And Matthew Upson's out for them, which is a shame, as I was looking forward to the Faithful giving him a right earful ?
Alex Song almost with the balls up of the Millennium, overall solid performance, AC could have stolen it at the end but we should have known that we were never going to score a header on that giant keeper. If it was up to me I would give Valencia and AC each a half with Sakho
Seasons Greetings Don't Hurt 'Em (football season of course), I'll gladly take Alex's regular lack of concentration in exchange fro all the protection and forward motion he gives us. My pick for Hammer of the Year thus far. Although I agree with you re Sakho, I think Alf Tupper favours AC as the anchor striker, with Valencia or Sakho playing off him.
Carroll upfront & Nolan again, what a surprise. Bet AC misses a sitter and Nolan does bugger all except as usual he may sneak one by hanging around. I feel a lot better knowing Song's in there
It will all come down to attitude and application Smitty. Leicester may well fancy there chances of catching us off guard and nicking it. Focus, focus, focus !
Good one Mr P.

If Poyet wants 40 Filthy, he's going to have to win one more - they've already played 16 and point per match only lands you with 38 !
