  1. First posted this image when we were in the Second Division (under Alf) and in view of today's news of an iminent resignation, I thought I'd give it another airing.

  3. Sam, then Septic. Been a great week for the good guys.
The beautiful game has had a facelift, looking good again.

We could all soon be in it again up to our knees, but feels great right now!

  4. Smitty, can't help but wonder if Sepp's ego has finally meet it's match - his fear of prison ! Not sure what the extradition restrictions are in Switzerland, but as head of FIFA he was due to visit Canada, might be a little too close for comfort as far a Department of Corrections goes ?

  5. I think he knew the net was closing in. He'll still be expecting to avoid incarceration, "cos he still believes he's above the law.
Meanwhile #2: Valcke has cancelled his trip to Canada, no doubt due to the reasons you mention Mr P. A good day, but I still want Qatar rubbed out. Can't have the game built on the graves of slaves.

  6. I reckon the way forward is let Putin off the hook and scrap Qatar. There's time enough to re-schedule. Shame Dudley Do-right wont make a Mafifa collar !

  7. I'm with you with the 2018/22 locations.
I saw today Biesla as a potential coach. I'm up for that! It'd be a bit wild, but always interesting and an aim of real football.

  8. I just realised that Sepp & Sam have something in common, if you cup an ear Vox Populi will respond- eventually.

Be nice to think someone will do some bird on this, hopefully all of them, but it will take a while. They really should bag both those WCs. That would go a long way to clean up any image they have left.

I'll be happy with almost anyone Filthy. I can't get excited about anyone though toill it's on the dotted line. Then we'll see. What's the maybe's list now, must be down to 10-15 people by now.

  9. As far as the World Cups go - I'm stick with Russia and twist on Qatar. I don't think it's realistic to come up with refits on both. It's not as if anyone in the world that's allowed to make their own mind up doesn't think there are "issues" with Putin.
Back on Green Street it seems to be between Biesla, Bilillic and Emery right now - Rodgers appears safe at Anfield so that's one less empty horse on the Manager Go Round. Still Smitty hold on off on your Cliff Richard, Europa league starts in July and you may yet get the call !

  10. OK I'll compromise. Boycot Russia and bag Qatar. That's fair.

Emery is supposedly out. So what would look better on the letterhead, Biesla, Bilillic or Smitty? I'm sitting by the phone, looking forward to the pies.

  11. Pies have been banned- apparently a new FIFA regulation! But I think you deserve a chance!

  12. I see Advocaat is staying at Sunderland, so Alf probably won't be in work until the Xmas panic sets in. All a bit quiet on the Green Street front, with Billic looking the most likely from my non-vantage point.

  13. I don't know what the Spanish for Dick is (no lewd comments please), but Sevilla have confirmed that Emery is staying with them. Hopefully this will sober up the more extreme elements amongst Hammers fans as to how attractive we actually are to "continental" managers. It also means that he turned down Napoli, which is considered by some a step above us.

  14. oooh, errr ..you are awful, but I like you.... was that him? Probably wise (Morecambe and) not to have him as the coach in any case!

  15. You got it Filthy and maybe that was the reason Unai (we;d have never used that !) gave us a pass being named after some Seventies dodgy British TV comedian and greeted with endless choruses of "Hello Honky Tonks". I would have been as guilty as any, I'm sure !

  16. Brady Bunch saying a manager will be announced within 48 Hours - cue first Clash LP !

  17. Looks like it's Super Slav. Get no complaints from me.
    I reckon he'll do OK

    ReplyDelete
  18. Biesla would"ve been fun- but Bilic has to be an improvement. I'm just so glad BFS has gone

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm wid you Filth. I almost don't care if we lose every game as long as we go down swingin. Well obviously I do but you all know what I mean. I couldn't watch any of that crap anymore.

Wonder if he'll have a rethink and get Nene back and give him a real go. If West Brom pick him up as I saw somewhere they might I bet he punts a few in against us

  20. Back to Mafifa, I see the Swiss have their own investigation going regarding possible money laundering. More fuel for Blatter bonfire 1

    ReplyDelete
  21. Will Sepptic show up for The Womens World Cup Final in Canada ? I don't think so, but I do wonder what kind of excuse he, or Mafifa will make for the no show ?

    ReplyDelete
  22. No surprises on Sepptic's no show in Candad for the final, although I'm a bit disappointed the American commentary didn't make more of it. Still their team won, so I guess they had bigger fish to fry. Meanwhile Mafifa ban their Chief Inspector the Chilean Harold Mayne-Nicholls. No disrespect intended but how the heck does a Chilean end up with a a surname like Mayne-Nicholls ?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I see Jimmy Webb (Cayman Islands) has been successfully indicted into the US, so I expect him to cut some kind of deal. The noose slowly tightens - but who gets dangled, probably not Sepptic ?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Just watched some geezer shower Sepptic with money at the start of his press conference - well done that man ! When I get a chance I shall find out who he is BRAVO SIR !

    ReplyDelete
  25. His name is Simon Brodkin and he goes by the stage name Lee Nelson - Nice One Lee !

    ReplyDelete
  26. he also interrupted Kanye West on stage recently, and got onto the england team plane on some flight last year. This is a good one and helps to keep the pressure on FIFA. It's gone a bit quiet recently.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Times must be hard. I didn't think oncers would get him to even blink.

    ReplyDelete
  28. As far as "quiet' goes Filthy, the U.S. investigation will not move swiftly, but move it will.
They've got some of the best money laundering brains on the books working this one and a whole squad of folks who are used to chasing drug money. There's an excellent chance t what's to be found, will be found. There's also talk of some of the sponsors getting slapped for knowingly participating in bribery - we shall see. First up appears to be Jimmy Webb.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Smitty, I'm sure in private it got to be tons by the caseload !

    ReplyDelete
  30. so Jimmy Webb, had to lay his wedding ring and six watches on the line for bail! Down to his last rolex!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Had to sling in the Ferrarri too Filthy ! That man has more faith in his lawyers than I do !

    ReplyDelete
  32. I see Mafifa #2 Jerome Valcke is planning to jump ship with Sepptic in February reckons
this whole corruption thing is nothing to do with him either. His got a job on his hands convincing me that neither #1 nor #2 had a clue what was going down. Meanwhile their having trouble landing a top shelf sponsor for Russia.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Putin thinks Blatter should receive a Nobel Prize ! I always find the real life gangster perspective fascinating. A little closer to real life - word is Platini wants the job.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It's Sepptember (OUCH!) and as I expected the money trail mob have been busy, turning up evidence of the Septic one selling off rights "el cheapo" which surely could be taken for a bribe ? Legal Eagle Lynch has just announced that "no one is above the law" and that USA-Swiss co-operation has been excellent - I reckon were due some new action shortly. Stay tuned….

    ReplyDelete
  35. Jerome Valke "releaved of duties until further notice" by Mafifa, but who is Mafifa right now, surely it's not Sepptic ? I also note that some Ecuadorian former big shot is most likely on his way to the US to face charges. Will a wall of silence descend upon those under heavy manners - I don't think so !

    ReplyDelete
  36. Seems that Sepptic had Valke's Moscow bound plane turned around mid-air and when he landed suspended him. Are the vipers starting to turn on each other ?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Jack Warner soon to be on his away from Trinidad to the U.S.A. (New York I assume) after extradition approved. Another piece of the puzzle….
