Final Curtain(s) Call Close ? (Sepp Blatter Vol.3)

  1. I'm sticking this one up (yet again) as there's still plenty more juice left in this story and I'll be buggered if I'm going to make another piece on the Sepptic one - well maybe for charity !
Just read the Swiss Rozzers are giving Bladder the once over, his office has been raided and Platini is suspected of being involved in a back hander - well I never !

  2. Will he dodge it, will he walk, is he teflon.
For the sake of truth, justice and all that lets hope he gets a few years.

  3. Since learned this back hander to Platini is 1.35 Million Sterling Smitty, which is close $2,000,000 is being explained as a late payment - late by 9 years. Iffy to say the least !

  4. This probably puts paid to Platini's chance of succeeding Blooter. No bad thing, I always thought he was a bit "iffy", and he voted for Qatar. Probably good if the next prez isn't from Europe in any case.
I'd love to see Blatter go down!

  5. Anyone that voted for Qatar deserves the BIg E Filthy and really Football need's to call this as it is: " Wrong Em Boyo - Start All Over Again Pleas Suh !". Meanwhile Sepptic & Platini plead innocence over a kite that's been in the post for nine years !

  6. I don't think they'll get away with it anymore. They all (Blatter, Warner, Platini,Valcke, et al) got away with it 'cos they were the big cheeses, and no-one questioned them. But now they do, and they're cheese on toast, and their crimes are huge in my book: they have taken the people's, beautiful game and made it cheap, tacky, and at the same time priced out of the range of the people. " lie, steal, cheat and deceit..." I think it goes.....

  7. "…and trample people under your feet…"Filthy. Can't imagine any of them has a friend in the world that's not on the take. I'd go to the extreme and dump the whole organization and get a new one, but I guess the FIFA brand is too established to chuck out. GOing to need a whole new rule book and a new set of rulers at the very least. I see Qatar's now been moved to December, totally unfair on the other bidders - but thats what it means right now doesn't it FIFA= Totally Unfair & Corrupt ! We should start using it as a verb "Oi This Geezer just Fifa'd ME !"

  8. Just spotted a "worth a gander" comic strip in The Guardian, info below:

  9. The FA are to meet and surely they must dump Platini as their replacement of choice ?

  10. I hate that whole branding thing. They are meant to put the game in front of the world, that's it. That "Fifa world cup" shit makes me vomit. It is "the world cup" Simple.
Reckon "To FIFA" might just make it into the oxford english dictionary next year!
I still would really like to see Qatar boycotted. It's not right to hold a football tournament on the bones of dead slaves.

  11. Once again I show that I have little to no grasp on reality when it comes to football, The FA meet and declare they are still backing Platini ! Have Mercy !!

  12. Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Budweiser and Visa all making statements that Sepp must step - it's not very often I find myself on the same side as that mob. Maybe if they pursue a no more money policy - it might actually get somewhere. Gets lonely at the top don't it !

  13. Sepptic now "provisionally suspended for 90 days" by FIFA, which considering he was stepping down Feb 26, won't leave him long in charge. Can't see him getting back in now - he's got nowhere to go but down - preferably "sent down" !

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sepptic, Plattini and Valke all get 90 days - wouldn't bother me if it was 90 years ! Is this going to be an opportunity to clear the decks - maybe not ? But I can't see how Plattini's going to take the Sepptic throne now - from almost in the throne to thrown out ?

  15. Platini's going for an appeal - I'd give him an orange and tell him to "get on with it" !

  16. Looks like the USA could use you Mr P- after last night's loss to Mexico (I liked the sound of the Trump pinatas at the game). The English FA said they'd back Platini and stuck by it after the "payment" was announced. So the FA don't look too smart. It is all still very mucky! But I guess change is a coming.....

  17. Was out of town and out of the loop football wise most of this weekend Filthy, but Trump pinatas sounds like good practice to me ! Turns out there's no "official" agreement for the Blatter to Platini $2M "bung" and a Swiss legal limit on back pay of 5 years AND STILL THE FA BACK PLATINI - "you're either part of the solution or part of the problem" says I.

  18. yup, FA shown up for being entirely self interested and not very bright!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I never followed closely what happened in International Cricket a few years back, but didn't they have to have a floor to ceiling clear-out ?

    ReplyDelete
  20. hmm.I don't follow the game that much, but doesn't really ring a bell. There've been match fixing scandals but didn't think there'd been a FIFA. I'll have a look....

    ReplyDelete
  21. Maybe I got that wrong Filthy - maybe it was just mere match fixing - small fry indeed to Mafifa !

  22. A day late and a dollar short, the aptly named FA finally decides to drop it's support for Platini. Obviously they feel, or more likely know, he's covering up more than his bald head !

    ReplyDelete
  23. MAFIFA announce Presidential Election Date stays put - Sepptic looks kippered and Platini swimming in ever decreasing circles. Could the next front man be the elegant Prince Ali or will a "hero" arise from the stands ?

    ReplyDelete
  24. BBC Sport now reporting a chap named Jerome Champagne is running for the hot seat !
It's not April 1st already is it ???

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well the Presidential Candidate Deadline has passed and there's no shortage of interesting names.: A Prince, A Sheikh, a suspect, Mr Infantile, Musa Bility, Tony Sexwale and of course Jerome Champagne being some of them !

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think they're all "A suspect" for something. Lots of stuff in the papers today, with Blatter shooting his mouth off. Claiming it was prearranged that Russia would get 2018 and USA 2022 (wot? no voting!) then Platini changed it to Qatar. He called Platini some choice words. Then he claimed FIFA was "working really well"- unbelieveable, he's learnt nothing .I think I've said this before, but I detest the "FIFA" world cup. It is not the FIFA world cup, it is the world cup. They are and should remain backroom boys, organizers of tournaments etc. Their logo should NOT be the biggest letters on any banner. Platini is seriously damaged goods now and should be out of uefa as well.
I get angry whenever this subject comes up- there is just so much wrong with how FIFA operates and views itself...........

  27. You've got me wondering Filthy ? When exactly did it become the FIFA World Cup, when we were kids wasn't it called The Jules Rimet Trophy ? Can't see them letting their mitts off it now - like most political races it's a "best from a bad bunch" pick with back room horse trading galore ! Still want to see Sepptic dangle and Platini limp away though !

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think it is a new development the "FIFA" world cup. I feel Fifa got top billing at the S Africa 2010, then more so in Brazil. It was the Jules rimet trophy, but now it is a different one cos Brazil won it 3 times and keep it. What I'm talking about is the label, So commentators say " welcome to the FIFA world cup" and banners say that too , where they used to say" welcome to the world cup in Rio de Janeiro.." no mention of FIFA. They made it happen then by organizing it, but knew their place. It was the world cup: players, coaches, fans centre stage: NOT a bunch of thieving wallies hanging out in Switzerland.
I'm angry again! gotta stop this.!

  29. I see Musa Bility didn't make the cut, can't be on the basis of a lame name. Platini's still not been confirmed - surely that can't happen ? And Sepptic's not feeling very well - I'd like to make a witty prison food comment, but he may well wriggle off that hook. Here's hoping he doesn't !

    ReplyDelete
  30. Apparently Sepp is suffering from stress. His heart and head are fine just his body has problems (so he claims). He also says he'll be back at work on Monday.I thought he was suspended!? I don't think he gets it and I don't think the organization gets it. Got to get rid of them all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. While reading Septic's and Plattini's suspensions were upheld, I noticed that Bladder's first name is actually Joseph ! Joe Blatter not quite as impressive is it ?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Prince Ali say he would stick with Russia and Qatar. Russia is one thing, I'm bout in favor but might be persuaded, but Qatar loses my vote completely. I'm off to join Filthy in the Occupy World Cup movement !

  33. I see two more Mafifa Presidents of Vice knocked at the Baur Au Lac - you'd think they'd give that place a wide berth wouldn't you ?
