  1. well that's a contender for the Turner prize. Very pretty.
A tidy little win at the Seagull's new home. A day out in Brighton....fond memories.

  2. Sorry Andy for my silence, I have been très occupé.
Now I certainly don't want to start things off on a wrong foot, what with all this kerfuffle over football pitches, so I won't go there! Instead, well done you boys who wear the same coloured costumes as The Villa, you're doing much better. No.2 in the Npowre league? Is that division 2 in old money? Still, keep it up and you too could be in Div 1, then you can have a game with those top players currently residing in the No.5 position.Ha!
    Shalom

  3. Wotcha Filthy ! Had to make do with text for this one - like eating chocolate with the wrapper still on and by all accounts quite a defensive display from The Irons. Still Rorke's Drift wasn't won by attacking the Zulu impi, right now I'll take 3 points over flowery comments about creative flourish. Also we've got quite a few lads banged up, so a smash and grab down on the coast is a job well done.

  4. I have just had a thought, we won the '62 FA cup, the year I was born and we have a cockerel on our T-shirts just like the Frenchy's, my current country of residence. Coincidence or ...(cue Twilight Zone music)
    Chivers shivers!!

  5. Bonjour Chiv, nice to hear from you. I've always been puzzled over the claret and blue combo - I mean who would ever think of putting those two colours together ? Yet us, Burnley, Villa bought in and over the years have worn practically the same kit, Didn't Palace once used to be Claret and Blue too ? I'm not sure the old brain cells aren't what they used to be. Some geezer in the Boleyn Tavern once told me it was blue for Ann Boleyn's royal blood and claret, because that's all she drank -well look what happened to her.

  6. Chiv, with regard to the similarities between the Tottenham and France emblems, I'd say yours was more cock and ball !

  7. Nolan or rather private Henry Hook has finally stepped up to the plate. Ugly win, but 3 point is 3 points

  8. Spot On Don't Hurt Em, it's lads like Hookie (VC) that can make all the difference - slow to start but hard to stop !
