A question well worth asking Don't Hurt 'Em. I don't think you can put down a total no show like Sunderland down to Mr Tupper, nor the ragged army that he took to Old Trafford. But where are the goals ? It strikes me that an alternative to the Lone Ranger plan should be given a serious punt. If Nobby doesn't nick one, it seems like we're down to set pieces.
With the exception of things like Reading and Sunderland. Reading - no idea, I give up. Sunderland - Were any of our players actually there? or was it a bunch of look-alikes from central casting? We seem to be in the game but suffer from piss poor finishing generally. I think Alf's plan is OK generally , maybe an extra boot up front when we can wouldn't hurt, as said by Mr P. A liittle luck once in a while wouldn't hurt, that we seem a bit short of. Oh well, QPR next - they generally suck so we're on form to be suckier, big sigh.
Well lets hope that Arry's used all his up. Rangers are a bit of a rokk right now, Beta Chelsea, Drew Spurs and Beat West Brom. I'm looking forward to seeing a reasonably strong squad on Saturday.
Well if The Saints can sack Adkins, I reckon any manager that isn't Scottish, knighted, with a first name of Alex and a second name of Ferguson ought to be nervous. Time for Alf to once again pull away from the pack below ! Come On You Irons !
Sorry, been away with my boy's own football dreams. I agree with Mr P (it has to happen sometimes!) the lack of goals is the key right now, so some tactical changes should be on the menu, otherwise it could be backs to the wall time again.
Is it Sam's strategy that's losing us these games, or are the player just not performing?

What was it Bill Shankly said Smitty " "Given a choice between talent and luck, I"ll take luck every time ".
ReplyDeleteTrue, and I think with all we say about plans and play, if a little more of it fell our way we'd be in better shape.

ReplyDeleteI don't care if it's the West Ham Grannies Union reserves, just as long as they win this one.
