  1. The free (as in no admission cost) first ever solo Ian Dury Exhibition "More Than Fair" booked to open July 23rd at The Royal College of Art (next door to the Royal Albert Hall) is in a tight spot. Full disclosure I am involved. Anyway click on the above to see "whats what" and if you can't give, please at least spread the word. Be a real shame for this not to happen, as you can see above Ian's art really is more than fair.

  2. It's like a real time transfer window... Cue lots of references to the relative values of the recent West Ham strikers club and Ian Dury's goals. It's more than fair...(Sex and Drugs and Carlton Cole) It's a well worthy cause. Fuck FIFA...It's still the people's game.

  3. Shame I can't be over there for the event, but the nephew is coming over for Comic Con (Full disclosure - I am not dressing up as a furry animal). But I am sure I can manage fifty quid for a poster. Pity Ms Dury didn't use Indiegogo rather than Kickstarter, as with that one you can keep the cash if the pledges don't reach the goal amount.

  4. I think it was a case of the devil you know and of you can put in fifty that will move things in the right direction. they wont be selling posters at the RCA, so I reckon your purchase being a limited edition will be a sound investment !

  5. Pledged my £55. Hopefully some wealthy citizens will pony up the serious money.

  6. Good On Yer Martin, you'll be able to mention that one at the Pearly Gates. "Dany Bubbles" - note the claret and blue lettering - it's what the stylish West Ham man is up to right now !

  7. Just found out Jemima has a stylish little piece on Durex in today's Telegraph, which is not my normal journal of choice. Below:

  9. I hope you're not in economy for those torturous hours with kids kicking the back of your seat and OAP's with TB coughs, and that's only the bus ride to JFK....

  11. Hello from a sunny England, thought we must have landed in the wrong country at first but no it's definitely Blighty. Phew what a scorcher ! Been charging about helping with the show, but did get down to Green Street to pay for my Cardiff tickets and grab a coconut slice from Aunties. With the Ian show now funded I realise it's about time I put up a new Saitch, but it will have to wait a few days as it allll a bit off the hook right now.

  12. My 15 yo nephew arrived from London and is saying how chilly it is here. Bloody ungrateful. Took him to ComicCon and shoved him close to any half-naked cosplay tottie I could find. Took loads of pics and sent them to his Mum. She's not pleased with me.....
Have fun at the Cardiff game, we better win.

  16. Yes Martin the O'Toole flick, I haven't seen it in donkeys years either. Working through the Carry On's - you're a braver man than me - a bit of a ying yang experience I would imagine - that's an awful lot of Charlie Hawtrey !

  17. Thanks for the heads up Slippery, but I will be across The Channel in Normandy, returning for the Cardiff season kick off.

  18. I feel a little ill after watching Carry on Emmanuelle, and darn right sick after Carry on Columbus. It was like watching the very worst of 80's/90's sitcoms distilled into 92 minutes that Jim Dale will regret 'till the day he dies (unless he's already gone).
Be careful in Normandy, I hear that there are more English businessmen than French peasants live there now.
