Newcastle United v. West Ham United

  1. A draw a Newcastle is always a great result, I would say that we were lucky that they missed absolute sitter at the end, but besides that I would say that you couldn't say that one team was much better than the other

  2. Great to see your name Don't Hurt Em - long time no Saitch. Not sure that either goalie had to make a proper save at least thats the way I remember it. 4 points out of 6 were not the only positives either, Joe Cole continues to look the part, Jarvis is beginning to shine and Ravel 'Rude Boy" Morrison, got some minutes too. We're still not looking the part at the finish, but hopefully AC will be on the pitch soon and anyway he wouldn't have scored "back home" anyway .

  3. Yup a draw at "the Toon" is no bad thing despite them being this month's crisis club (well, along with arsenal). and they were there to be kicked whilst they were down. Things are looking quite solid and that they'll get better once the big man's back.
Do you think Johnny Depp could play the lead in a Billy Bonds biopic? Maybe looks more Frank senior.

  4. I know what you mean about not taking The Geordies while they're on the ropes Filthy, but these scenarios usually end up with us losing. At least its not our manager thats on the bookies "first to go" list - I heard on the box that Pardew is one of the longest serving Premiership managers, that can't be true can it ? As for Johnny playing Bonzo, I just can't see room the mascara.

  5. Not a shining moment but not a disaster either, an away point is a point.
Agreed on some of the boys looking good and maybe we'll finish better when AC shows up to earn his few bob a week.

Lucky for us, but gottta be a cryer when The Goof missed that sitter or that it didn't go in off the post for that matter.

    Still, so far so good.

  6. I woke up late and missed most of the game, although the last 10 minutes that I saw did get the heart racing a bit too much for that time of the morning. Glad to see that http://firstrow1.eu/ is still working in the US so I can get my footie fix each day.

  7. I would have thought that Goufron (?) miss got the old circulation going Martin, either that or stopped it completely. Not sure what time Joe Cole had that shot, but if it had dipped a bit.....Will check out the firstrow site, we watched a stream, using KUMB as our guide as to whats working.

    1. The Premier League got all the UK internet service providers to block access to firstrow.eu if you lived in the UK. Of course, now that no-one in the UK can access it the streaming has got much better. I was flicking between Everton, Celtic, and Aston Villa this lunchtime, all with pretty good feeds, and there is always some dodgy Russian TV stations who offer commentary like it was funeral.

  8. And now there is NBC Sports online too that offers a bunch of games each Saturday (if you have the right cable provider)
