West Ham Utd v. Aston Villa

  1. You should put this as a tag line and only take it off when necessary
    No bloody finishing again!!

Like the picture, some KaBoom and Ratatattat, but no killer punch.

I'm not sure at this rate a point a game will be enough, AC better be 15mil worth when he gets back.

    If he gets back!

  2. Have to confess Smitty, that I was once agin on the College Tour with #2 son and missed it all - or perhaps better put missed the not at all. Not sure how serious "the setback" is, but I'm not expecting much out of him this season (forget this year). Judas Defoe has been trying to make public amends, which is bringing up all kinds of controversy - still it's a change of subject matter from injuries and not scoring !

  3. He's got a cold- his life is over, he'll never play the piano again.
    Or some such nonsense.
If Defoe plays "for" us in a Spuds uniform at the end of the season when we'll need the 3 points, I'll forgive him.

  4. A pal e-mailed me Defoe is soon out of contract, so the price may yet be right on him. I'm in a real head vs. heart on this one. Still we can't go all season with no trigger-man - with the Olympic only two seasons away relegation could be deadly. I'd prefer Ba, but am going to have to get used to Judas as a serious possibility.

  5. Good one Mr P. simple, sharp and to the point (just one). sounds like your spies are out earning their crusts. On purely goalscoring ability I'd put Defoe ahead of Ba. Someone has to arrive up front in January whatever the state of AC.

  6. I'm not expecting AC to be in the team for January anyway Filthy - he hasn't played proper football in how long now ? If it is Defoe and Alf keeps Nobby in the team, that will mean only 8 out on the pitch players most of the time. Defoe offers goals but little else and Nobby, occasional knock ins and even less. Any idea what shape Ba's knees are in ? They were at one point considered well dodgy - be just our luck, to get him and have him banjoed right away !

  7. He's not getting much time at Chelsea, last season he played more but was rotated, play one sit one. knee knack is a definite maybe!

  8. Imagine that - rotating a striker. Right now I'm imaging having one ! Cue The Kop "Imagine You've No Strikers - No Replacements Too"

  9. If Defoe could get any kind of contract for the same money as he would West Ham I think he would go anywhere. Unless he plays absurdly well the crowd are going to give him so much crap he probably doesn't want to deal with it all

  10. Not sure I agree 100% Don't Hurt 'Em, but if he doesn't want any abuse he'd better keep far from Green Street. But if he wants to go to the next World Cup (his last chance for sure) what he needs is Premiership Football and West Ham have a Situation Vacant. It would certainly be a high profile return and if it went well Woy would notice.

  11. I agree and if Defoe can block out all the chants then good for him, but to be honest I wouldn't sign any big money striker to West Ham because there will be so much pressure on him and strikers usually do badly when all the pressure is on them

  12. Well the only "big money striker" we can get in without selling someone would be a loan, because of the Fair Play Wages restrictions. Thats why there's so much focus on Defoe and Ba. As for pressure Don't Hurt 'Em it comes with the territory and they do get paid !

  13. How about Chicharito? He's not playing enough. Utd might loan him out if they don't see the Hammers as a threat.
Was the spy V Spy theme spurred on by the "3 men found to have hacked Ms. Brady's phone?"

  14. I've been waiting for "Spursgate" to drop Filthy, but alas hardly a ripple. I'd better get the Norwich Saitch up sharpish
