Sunderland v. West Ham Utd

  1. I was away in the hinterland so no computer and wasn't on the tele. From what I've heard it was our usual scrappy abysmal 1st half with a more sensible 2nd. I'm sure it was entertaining though. I'm glad we came back though, losing to them would have been hard to take even though we seem to go down to the bottom tier.

  2. They should have been 3 up, before we got a look in. Another dodgy pass, this time from Payet cost us a goal and the only reason I can think of as to why Noble wasn't sent off (second yellow) was because the ref had his last red to Noble over turned. They played the last half hour with 10 men and we really should have finished them off.

  3. Agreed, could have been more than 2 down and that Noble probably should have had his marching orders. Should've won it in the end......
Good switch mr P. A game of 2 halves, topsy turvy, and a little bit of weirdness thrown in!
Sam to Sunderland- "we always knew he would"

  4. "Tupper on Tyne" Filthy had to happen again didn't it - even Watson might have figured that one out. Thanks for the flattery, 3-3 would have been a fairer score, but our mob might have dropped their heads at 3-0, so I'll settle on a brace apiece.

  5. Yeah, we knew. He should have waited for the Pool now Rogers is gone, none of that Kloop nonsense. A good northern lad with safety footie and they could have got AC back to boot.

  6. Will take a draw after being 2-0 down any day!

  7. Allardyce at Anfield Smitty ? I think that would have been every Everton supporters dream come true.

  8. Ahoy There Don't Hurt 'Em - it seems like it's something we can now do - come back into a game. If Super Slav can up the concentration so that we don't make these basic blunders, we might not have to !

  9. What money Nolan and AC to Sunderland?

  10. I think it would be every Premier league club's dream and would never happen, but I'm sure The FF thinks it should. Nobby may well end up there and I'd love to see AC go but will they come up with the sheckels? Both of them have got used to London and particularly AC. Will his Mrs like proper pies and how do you get the leopard skin vinyl to redecorate like that up there.

  11. Nobby's got to be "odds on" for another installment of "Tupper At The Top", but I must confess I've changed my Toon slightly on AC. If Super Slav wants to keep him, then I vote he stays. As a fit striker in rotation, potentially playing Payet's crosses he could be very dangerous. As for Mrs AC, out would take a quite a salesman and a lorry load of Mr Sheen to put any sort of shine on living in Sunderland !!

  12. Smitty, while you were off in "the hinterlands" Malfie was relieved of having to train with the nippers and shown the door. Don't mess with The Super Slav has sure to have been heard loud and cloud through the corridors of Green Street. Had potential that man, but it was the same reason he was let go by his previous and thus ended up with us. Some people just won't learn !

  13. Yeah I saw Malfi was past tense. In his defense he did a job for us last year but being a petulant bugger it must be hard to watch Nobby buggering about and sit on the bench and not get the hump. Same with Nene but he has a bit more of the calm , although I'm sure he was rightly pissed. Nah, still think if they put up the gelt AC should be out the door, as a fit striker in rotation between the hospital and a few cameos I think that's it and we're never going to find anyone but Sam n'Nobby who'll take him on those terms.

  14. Hold the Press: BFS says he wants to make Nolan his first signing! The saviour is at hand all ye Sunderland faithful!

  15. Better hold your horses too FIlthy, doesn't sound quite as blatant on BBC Sport Webste, but maybe he's trying to break the news gently ?

  16. Well I'm shocked. Whooda thunk it!! Still a chance for your toofah after all Mr P.
Maybe him and AC can share a ride up.

  17. Not sure AC would have the stomach to turn Rokerite Smitty ? Newcastle's not that big a place and it's got to be the main attraction even if your based down the road and he would be very unpopular with more than half the population.

  18. I see Tupper has referred to us on Feet Street as "brainwashed" and if he means by Ron Greenwood, John Lyall and Billy Bonds I plead guilty your honor !

  19. Ah, but there's Sam to take care of him, the No.1 Star billing on the field every week (he's fit), the gelt and if he's not going back to the Toons ( which I think he ain't ) a giant thumb of the hooter to them. Irresistable. ( Mrs notwithstanding)

  20. My thoughts turn to Palace and I'm thinking this could be a cracker of a game. Pardew must really fancy his chances and their fans will be well up for another "kill". We're going to have to reinforce at the back as they're fast on both wings, we also can't afford to spend half'n; hour "waking up" or we'll be tonked by half time. But a solid showing by us, with all hands on deck and they'll be goals and serious saves at both ends. I'm excited !

  21. I wouldn't like to call it by much, could go either way. When I was in indiana the only game on that I could find on my very basic cable was the Palace Brom game. So I watched some of the 2nd half. Brom weren't up to much but they were defending with 9-10 in the box and Palace still got through. So they're no mugs.
Cressers & Crazy Horse probably out so the defence will have to stop buggering about early on but with the wizzers we got up front we could match them. Gonna be a good one whoever comes out on top

  22. Crazy Horse is a major loss, got to be an advantage to them - but if Ginge is in full Rorke's Drift mode we may be able to keep the top button of our tunics done up. Impossible to call other than goals both ends - we're a scoring team too now - CMON YOU IRONS !!!
