Newcastle United v. West Ham United

  1. Tarzan of the animals? He is a bit of a burden(Burdon-ouch!) not much to say about the game, move on...like the look of the new full back.

  2. I'm hoping this isn't the beginning of a drop off in form for the whole squad similar to last season. Everything just felt off passes, crosses, and runs. They also kept looking for Tarzan in the box.

  3. After spending a week telling everyone within earshot that Payet is "truly world class" he has a quiet one. It happens, even to better teams than ours. The kid from Leeds does look like he's got potential Filthy, Martinez thought he had him for Everton - a second opinion if you will.

  4. I don't think it's time to start worrying C&B, but i do think it's time for us to get stuck in during the first half. Speaking of stuck, Sakho got his Lamborghini stuck in some Essex lady's garden wall ! There are photos.

  5. Nah , we'll be fine. We do have to come out firing not limping though. We seem to be good at catch up , but it's more fun if we don't have to. Everyone seemed to be in 2nd gear and it's Grim oop North, but nobody runs all game every game, except Big Mik.
I think Shelvelbow was looking to justify the gelt, and they were particularly fired up, so true to form we went down to a bottom club. No need to panic.
Even in a loss though, it's great to watch and there are patches of individual stickittoemness.

  7. Will answer both of those in this 'oneser" Smitty. Jelly nearly had the leveler at the death and f it had gone in, a golden goal to boot (OUCH).
I don't think Sakho's alone when it comes to the footballer flash motor can't drive syndrome - in fact I wonder what percentage of the Essex Luxury Motor business is to footballers ?
As for Sturridge, what would sign him for to keep Tarzan company in the testament room ? He might be the only "top shelf" player who plays less often than our King of the Bun -oops- Jungle !

  8. I see Nobby has just been confirmed as player/manager for 4th Division (OK League Two) Leyton Orient. Wonder if no Championship clubs came in from him, or if the opportunity to bend the ref's ear'ole not only during the match as Captain but also after as manager was just an offer he couldn't refuse ? And then of course there's the charms of O's owner Barry Hearn to consider too ?

  9. Not only footballers suffer from that I'm afraid, there's a variety of too much too soon sufferers.
No further mention of Sturidge so it will be a surprise when the ambulimo shows up.
Perfect for Nobby. About his level at this point and he can mouth off all day

  10. You'll be able to vent all that pent up frustration at Nobby, next time the O's play Accrington Stanley. Although I have no idea how you would follow a match like that live - carrier pidgeon ?

  11. Nolan obviously like the area too much. He can nip over and watch at the Olympic next season.

  12. I was thinking he might be nipping down Green St. to see if he can borrow a few kids or old lags Filthy ? That would depend I guess on his relationship with The Brady Bunch and their willingness to lend a hand to Hearn ?

  13. Just read Zarate has gone to Italy - Fiorentina for 1.6 Mill it said. Not sure Smitty will be to happy about this ?

  15. Ahoy there Slippery, thanks for the kind words mate. We're going to have to step it up a bit if we're seriously going to go for a six pointer against Citeh - "wouldn't it be loverly". Byram from Thurrock I hear - Hammers' country for sure !

  16. Not overly fussed about Zarate , I see his point. The Fat One screwed him over when he could have been really useful and he's not dead cert for time here now. I liked him because when all around were having the not-goods he was at least selfish & unpredictable.
As to Nobby and the O's, JOB springs to mind for a loaner / transfer, I don't see him getting any time here. O's v The Stanley's - now there's some proper footie in the trenches. Be nice to see some of that on TV but unlikely I'll admit.
Coo , thought I'd have a look before I pulled the trigger

We'll do Citeh no problem , just in case you want my opinion. If Jelly isn't on a plane, he'll do a brace for us. They can't run that slow.
