Good to see Alf giving some younguns a bit of a runabout. Nice to see Pottsy on the turf, been a while. Shame Mr Lee is in the provinces, could have been a good opportunity for him to put a few in. Looks like your wish for Noble to get a bit of penalty practice would have come true, had he been there. Not pretty but we're on the way.
Missed the first half Smitty - real life getting in the way again, by all accounts Burnley had the best of it, but we were better than them in the second. Having said that their goalie never made a save in the second, so it's just as well we got 2 penalties. Still we blooded a couple more young un's something we'd all like to see more of I'm sure.
Missed it too but looked to be the same old, but all's well etc. I think it's great Alf's finally tapping the yoofpool, we've got some good stuff down there, well worth giving them some experience. It's not like we ain't gonna need em at some point. Potsy did great for us a couple of years ago in the Championship when we didn't have a man standing.
Having seen more than you Smitty, I'd say young Ruddock looked good going forward - a few balls ups for sure, but let's not forget Crazy Horse Reid had one of the worse debuts in donkeys years. Look at him now, I wouldn't be surprised if he was our most valuable player and on that subject, there's a rumour The Gooners are sniifin' around him.
You must be running out of Claret and blue ink/paint Mr P, wot with Burnley/Villa all in a row! A little cup run would be lovely for morale amidst the straightlaced fare on offer in the league.
Well lets see haw far we can "run' Filthy, as you know it's been a while. Next stop back to White Hart Lane. Can we mash the Spuds twice in one season ? Seems like that's been a while too, I shall have to put the old deerstalker on an investigate ?
It would appear Filthy that our last to consecutive wins at Spuds would have been in 1966 (that vintage just keeps getting better doesn't it !) in April and November, which obviously straddles two seasons, but I would think essentially the same teams.
Good hunting Sherlock P! Not sure if that means a double is due about now or " no chance". Depends how you look at it. Me I think the time is right. They're good, but fragile and a bit goal shy of late as well. Dream on!
I've got to go with the time is right option Filthy. I cased them on Sunday morning (NYC time) versus the Toffees - they're not performing as they should. Lots of possession, but not much goal mouth action. Hopefully they wont get it together in time. Having said that it would be fine by me if Spuds never get it together - I know it's meant to be Millwall but for me it always be Spuds with the complete annihilation and destruction (leaving no traces whatsoever) of Sheffield United a solid #2 !!!
