West Ham v. Chelsea

  1. Well....I think I said it could be terrible or glorious...I think it comes under the terrible category. Bad performance with witless tactics. I appreciate "He" had to make changes early, but I would have left Cole on for longer anyway. Lot of talk around about time Nolan slung his hook. I Imagine the dressing room must be pretty grim...how many games in December? Too many!

  2. The defence for Nobby Nolan has it's work cut out Filthy and as for Alf Tupper's strategy, if it were music I'd compare it to Free Jazz - i.e. hard to comprehend. Did he really feel that the inevitable third goal could arrive before half time ? And what about playing Maiga - who sadly remains consistent ? I doubt PC Terry has had an easier time on his beat in many years.

  3. I meant to comment on your image as well, very apt. Gloomy, foreboding sky, desperate, starving crew, last glimmer of hope disappearing over the horizon...Well I don't think things are quite that bad, the players aren't starving for a start (and maybe that's part of the problem). There are still 4 or so worse teams in the division, however things have to change pretty soon.
Maiga's miss was a bit dire!

  4. It's how I felt when the final whistle blew Filthy, although I must confess Citeh tonking Spuds on Sunday cheered me up no end ! As for Maiga's miss - he couldn't hit a barn door with a bren gun at five paces. Have Mercy !

  5. Ahhh! loving the artwork this week, Mr P. Fair made me smile. Don't normally try and hijack other's blogs for my own evil ends but my own prattlings can still be found over at ESPN at http://espnfc.com/blog/_/name/westhamunited?cc=5739 . It was only the Oscar genius headline that kept me going last weekend

  6. Ahoy There Mr. Blagg, you're welcome aboard the Saitch anytime, a friendly face is always welcome, especially in days like these. Still three points off The Cottagers, would help steer us on a steadier course. I'll be over to ESPN to have a butchers sharpish !

  7. OiOi Saveloy.....great saitch A.P...should've added an iceberg.a couple of U-boats (Das Boot stylee) ..a portugese Man'O'War (the 48 cannonned sort & the 'gertch u cow son' stinging one)..whilst sailing in the Doldrums to boot..Wank Lumpolard kissing the Chelsea badge and going O.T.T to wind up the home fans after scoring puts him at No.1 in the all time Judas league leaving Ince & M.Peters trailing in his treachery..Sorry cant mention the football..gutted again..although what is the point in Allardyce re calling the 'scoring machine' that is Elliott Lee from his loan spell and leaving him to scratch his goolies off the pitch instead of getting hgim on there....

Meanwhile in down town Mombasa another West Ham United aint doing all that either

  10. Glad you've re-appeared Slippery. Will check what shakin' in Mombassa and get back to you on that one. Meanwhile who knows what perils might await us in the depths of the deep end of the First Division ? I hear some think Mr Lee still too young for the Premiership pressure - but Johnny Sissons had won an FA Cup Winners medal at 18 and still not been the youngest geezer at Wembley (Howard Kendall was a bit younger) - "they blood 'em early at West Ham" the old saying used to go and we could do with a Green Street Rude Boy right now.

  11. Squashed Tomatoes and Stew ! Happy Birthday To You Slippery ! Pulling up with the half century - well done my son. Either go younger than James Dean or older than Picasso - that's my motto !

  12. That's a very bleak picture Don't Hurt 'Em - no wins before Xmas, surely we can grab a few wins off the other relegation candidates. Still even when we pull through David and David might be reconsidering Alf Tupper's future ? A new manager for next season can't be out of the question.

  13. FC West Ham United of Kenya Slippery, I shall start to keep an eye on them - thanks for the tip. 16 points from 22 matches - at first glance I'd say they look quite authentic !

  14. Well, don't think he'll even see Christmas if they don't win at least one of the next two- Palace and Fulham. Now or never Alf!
