Will take a look at this C&B (no relation to C&A I'm sure) and get back to you. It certainly doesn't seem realistic for Liverpool to win theFA Cup and make the Champions League cut, In the meantime I'm hoping Exeter can dig deep.
The bigger the opponent the better West Ham plays. Exeter is the troublesome possibility. I'd rather they play the Spanish National team from 2010 than a club from a lower league.
Spoken like a veteran Hammer C&B - it's just 2 wins at Anfield in one season is shall we say "tricky" ? Have we ever won twice in one season up there ? I reckon Bill Shankly would rise from the grave in anger if it happened ! Lets Do It!
Getting back to Wolves, Didn't see it but it sounded like a good game as per usual. Whether we win or not it's always fun. As was said by someone on KUMB I'd rather not see Jelly in a shirt for 90 mins but I'm pleased for him that he got one and he took it well 1-2 no messin about. As for Tarzan, can we take our 10 bob and eat the loss now. I had a bit of a look at the BBC text report yesterday. This seems to be a habit with him

Attempt missed. Andy Carroll (West Ham United) left footed shot from the centre of the box is too high.
I agree about the next round , Exeter could clatter us without missing a beat, Scousers ? already in the win column.
Job done and a good game. Of course it's possible at Anfield- but with both Liverpool and Exeter, play well and it should be a win! They're coming thick and fast mr P!
Not sure that anyone that wasn't there got to see it Smitty - not a Stream to be found in these parts and so parched I followed on text (BBC & West Ham combo). Thought I'd pay tribute to Jelly straight off as I have serious doubts that he'll ever scare again for us - I've not been kind, but I have given him his due. As for Tarzan just like Johnny Weismuller and Ron Ely -not knowing what he's doing does not necessarily prevent him from winning the day !
After what I've seen from Billy Itch this year I say the more Croats the better. Even if he doesn't score again he might make a fantastic manager 20 years down the road.
I'm afraid C&B that despite his moment of glory we do really need a better back up striker than Jelly - especially if we're keeping Tarzan, which according to Billy Itch we are. I'd off load him pronto ! I see Bournemouth have got their new 10 Mill (sterling) trigger man from Watford on the sheet for tonight = here's to raining on his parade !
C&B When CC went and we got Jelly it did seem a bit like like fer like but whaddo I know. At least I rarely feel like running on the field and punchin Jelly in the gob, and I'm sure others would feel the same.
No disrespect Smitty but I think we've moved on as far as Carlton, and Jelly goes. As for Nobby hois Top Shelf time must be well and truly over - I wonder if a Championship Club will give him a run out to shore up some sinking ship ?
I think it's time Messi accepts a real challenge. He's done everything he can do with Barcelona. It's not impressive anymore. Drop him in East London and let the world see what he can really do. With the pound to liyra exchange rate it wouldn't even cost that much.
Yup, nice idea Cranberry....maybe they'd go for a straight swap, AC and Jelly for messi. Things are going just "hunky Dory" right now without too many big 'Changes' needed.
I think the Brady Bunch let Carlton Cole and Super Slaven thought he'd get more out of Jelly than he has - still if we lift the FA Cup for that goal alone it will have been worth it !
I'm not encouraging "this sort of thing" any further Filthy ! "Someone could lose an eye" !! When I was kid it seemed as if any kind of unsupervised outdoor activity could lead to this particular injury ?
The onlt type of Jelly-vic that don't get my football juices flowing..aint liked him since he turned us down the other season to go trawling in Hull instead.. The Grecians or the Reds...either will do as i dont think any team scares our lot. C.O.Y.I

ReplyDeleteLiverpool would rather lose to Exeter than drop a 3rd in one season at home.

Well there's Jelly's one goal for the season! Liverpool's gonna be tough but if you are going to win the cup you have to beat anyone!

I see both Filthy and Don't Hurt 'Em are roused too. Great to see everyone up for it COME ON YOU IRONS !!!!

I think Jelly could replace Nobby in a new toofer, I like Jelly but he's past it I'm afraid( similar to Nobby) and AC lost it when he got here.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even sure Jelly's up to Nobby's standard Smitty - he's certainly not as lucky or as annoying !
ReplyDeleteHad the deer stalker and magnifying glass - as yet we have never done the treble over Liverpool. Well there's a first time for everything...
ReplyDeleteIf it's a back up striker we need Celtic just got this guy who looks more than decent. Carlton something. Can't quite remember his name.
ReplyDeleteStill hanging on to 6th place. Go Irons!
ReplyDeleteJust saw some rumors of a possible jelly roll to China. Free up some space in cheque book.

Ahoy there Clueless and despite a whole heap of injuries too. Playing later today against Bournemouth - might be on the box ?
ReplyDeleteJelly to China C&B sounds like a plan !

ReplyDeleteI agree Mr P, but I was confused why you would let CC go and get Jelly, same person really. He'll be gone by summer at the latest anyway
ReplyDeleteAre you auditioning for a job as a football commentator Filthy ?
ReplyDeleteI think the Brady Bunch let Carlton Cole and Super Slaven thought he'd get more out of Jelly than he has - still if we lift the FA Cup for that goal alone it will have been worth it !
ReplyDeleteWell, it is a game of two halves mr P. I see AC is out for 6 weeks- could be 'ashes to ashes' for his time in E3.
ReplyDeleteI'm not encouraging "this sort of thing" any further Filthy ! "Someone could lose an eye" !! When I was kid it seemed as if any kind of unsupervised outdoor activity could lead to this particular injury ?
ReplyDeletegood saitch A.P.
