When the irons topped city in September I was over the moon. The whole week food tasted better, the sun shined brighter. Now I'm disappointed with a draw.
Spoiled already C&B ? 4 points off Citeh and your disappointed ! You obviously have adapted to the High Life quite quickly - why last season is probably a vague and distant memory to you. If Kouyate had got the last touch header in the back of the net - it would have been a full scale riot ! And if they'd been given the red trey deserved in the first half, we would have had your 6 points.
yeah the draw was almost disappointing. It is a great result and it was a very good performance and it could have easily been 3 points. I thought Jenko didn't play well again, but it looks like that's not an issue for quite a while. The new boy did really well in his place. That's smart transfer work to get someone in anticipation of someone getting a long term injury.
Filthy, if either you or C&B hit the lottery, don't spend it all because you'll both be well unhappy if you had to return to the real world. Jenko certainly caused some damage in his brief appearance didn't he ? Sadly it was to himself and our scoreline, but what about young Byram ? Signed midweek and playing Citeh on Saturday - gave a good account of himself too. Just hope that we're not expecting him to "hey presto" into being a First Team regular. It ale Tomka was injured ?
I didn't think I would watch West Ham play Citeh and see the best player on the pitch wearing claret and blue for at least a few more years. Payet is the class of the league right now. We just need to make sure he doesn't drive anywhere with SaKho. I love Song playing toward the back. He knows how to put together an attack from that position very well.
Alex "Shades Off Game On" Song was my man of the match C&B, who won that midfield and bossed it, played like a Lion of an Iron ! If he turned in regular performance like that you and Filthy would hardly ever be disappointed. As for Payet's future, I'm not even going to ponder that for now - but clearly one of The Premiership's top shelf players right now !
Well I was close, they weren't much of a problem:-) We were great, a pleasure to watch. If we can keep even half of this up the dying days at the Boleyn will be amazing. Notable mentions - everyone!! You could write a book. Obviously Song back in form, Byram's debut, Ginge's footwork and Payet business as usual get a special nod. Jenko. Dunno what happened there. Last year he did the job, this year !? Hopefully he's ok and not permanently crocked but perhaps it's better for all he's away. I'm sure he'll do a great job for someone somewhere. I think he got a tough call on the pen, he got a touch on the ball so on any given day coulda been let go. What's more worrying was that he tried the tackle in the first place, he could have just run him to the line and probably over. Dishonorable mention to the reffin in general in this one. Pretty naff all round.
Antonio was a delight to watch as well. He really accelerated the tempo of play. Man City and the rest of the league know that when they play the irons they need to keep the ball moving or else.
No harm wished upon Jenko this end either Smitty, but it's nt been his season has it. I have no idea what he thinks of his role as a late subbed on winger, but his confidence as a defender is lacking and showing. At 3 Mill for the season, I think The Gooners have had the result and I wouldn't be surprised if he's gone from us at seasons end.
No need to special mention G G G Great. He seems to be the nuts all the time now. Not many goals but must have a few assists and a fair few closies.
Not seen much mention of Jenko not actually needing to tackle. Is it just me that thinks that? Now he's crocked can we, under the loan deal, send him back to t'Gooners and get a few bob back?
He's their property so I guess they get to oversee repairs Filthy. I would imagine that if he's fit to play agin this season we will get him back, but I can't see him in The Gooners first team - not on this season's form !
Loans always seem a bit mysterious to me. So who pays his wages as he's recovering in Norf London? You're right, he wouldn't get a run out anytime soon for their lot.
The devil's in the details Filthy, anything can be agreed upon in theory. I must admit this 3 Mill for the season with Jenko was a new one on me - The Gooners making a profit on top of his wages. I read somewhere Chel$ki have thirty players out on loan this season !
According to KUMB Wenger has confirmed that Jenko has a cruciate ligament injury - could mean 9 months out poor sod (at least he's got money in the bank). So I reckon it's farewell from us. Still the world turns and I'm getting ready for our first ever treble over Anfield - C"MON YOU IRONS !!!!
28 yr old nigerian striker Emenike on loan till June? Apparently is known by Bilic. Anyone got any info? I like the statement of wanting more goals....
No time to "poke about" right now I have a Saitch to do - we're playing again tomorrow. Just hope EE is someone Super Slav wants rather than a Brady Bunch transfer window "bone" ?

ReplyDeleteTony O The The Tiger C&B -mas Smitty says "HE'S GGGRRRREEEAATTT!!!" West Ham Legend in the making !

This far into the season I doubt it Smitty.
ReplyDeleteWell he's back at Gooners now, so maybe you get a refund. Be interesting if they can pursue it
ReplyDeleteBack at Gooners as in no longer Hammer ?
ReplyDeleteFor treatment and rehab. not sure when his deal runs out, but that could be that.
