I had informed Uncle Chivers that I would respond to his re-emergence, on this particular post. I can't help but wonder if he'd have turned up with had beaten his beloved Hotspurs, still to the victor the spoils - his team certainly spoiled my Sunday ! It wasn't on my TV (don't have ESPN 3) and so I went with TalkSport radio commentary, and I must confess it sounded like we were never really in it. When they got their 3rd one, I feared a tonking, but fortunately AC finally opened his account and total humiliation on the pitch was avoided. However, a bonehead contingent of our mob disgraced us all by some over the top Anti-Semitic and in one case Pro Nazi behaviour. Naturally the media have pounced upon the story, as is their right and now we will have to see what the repercussions for the club are ?
Filthy alerted me to the problem with the below comment on the tail end of the Stoke post:
lots of talk about " Anti-semitic' chanting on Saturday. there's been so much in the press recently about racism, i reckon some even felt "up for it" in reaction. Oh dear! Some people haven't changed, and probably won't. But they have to be silenced!
Couldn't agree more Filthy, I believe that the club has already banned one Seig Heiler and are on the lookout for more. West Ham, home or away should be no haven for these disgusting specimens and everyone outside of West Ham should know that we don't want them. I'm sure every London club has their share, as probably does the rest of the country, but what needs to happen is for fans everywhere to turn them in until there are none left. Easier said than done of course, easier still for me 3,473 miles away, but necessary none the less. East London has a proud Jewish heritage and although most of it is physically gone I'd like to think that spirit of it remains. The famous slogan from the Battle of Cable Street was "None Shall Pass" well now it should be "None Shall Stay".
Wotcha Don't Hurt 'Em ! May the goals flow for AC like rain from the skies (copyright Delroy Wilson) or the mighty River Thames that gave birth to our club. Goals by the bucket load - that's what we want, come on AC lets spoil Charlie Endell's Wednesday night and keep him pissed off at least until Saturday when someone else can have a go !
Not our finest hour by any stretch. Nice to see AC get one though, may put a damper on my "Cunning Plan" but nice to see anyway. As to the chanters, ditto with Mr P. I'd like to see it gone and hopefully something more than banning. There is, and should be, no time or place for this.
As far as AC goes Smitty, it's time for the "Xmas Plan" - he scores a ton of goals, Ann Summers has a record breaking shopping season and we cough up to Liverpool in the January Sales. Simple aint it ?
What we "gotta do" Smitty is come up with Seventeen Million Nicker ! You wont get that from a whip round down Roman Road Market ! Its up to Sex Toys R Us...
Roman road, Cally road, Green Street, Brown Street, Sex Toys R Us, Knickers R Yours, doesn't matter from where. I think without him we wouldn't be where we are, but now we've had him, if we lose him it would be a bigger blow that if we never did. I didn't like it down in the Champs.
looks like you got your old "Spirograph" out of the box Mr P. A tough game, but it's over, and a cause to celebrate at the end. I agree with Smitty The Carrol needs to be hung on to.
I agree gents, AC should stay - lets hope he wants to ! As for the 2nd Division Smitty, I think we've all seen enough to last a lifetime. And a word to Filthy, it is not Saitch policy to discuss "artistes" materials, but I can inform you that thus far I have never owned a Spirograph , but you never know... Xmas is coming !
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!! Sorry about the score but, COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!
ReplyDeleteYou certainly are fast out the traps on this one CBTG. Thank you for the kind word, although some credit should go to Martin Sharp.
