  1. Yo Ho Hum.

10 minutes, that's all it took.
Fair do's ( Hard as it is to say) we was outgunned, outclassed, out everythinged for that period and ain't no coming back from that.

Any news on Pottsy ? Been looking around but not much new. Hope he's OK. Lotta heart and could be a real solid talent soon.

  2. Happy 2013 all Lads and Lassies! Well what a series of great posters to make us feel better about our extreme losses! Oi! Andy, how'd you get a photo of me (in the red top!) for the Arsenal game? I was trying my best to distract Arsenal so that West Ham could catch up--but I suppose I might have accidently foisted them on? On well!! Cheers Hammers!!

  3. I meant to say art pieces, not "posters" CBTG

  4. What a 10 minutes it was Smitty ! I was start to fear a tonking of historical proportions. A night to forget for sure ! As for "Danny Boy" Potts, he knocked himself sparko and didn't come to until he was in the ambulance en route to the emergency room. Reports are that he is okey dokey but they were keeping him in for some double checking. Got the makings of a Green Street hero that boy !

  5. "Art pieces" or "posters' is fine by me CBTG, I'm sure they've been called much worse than that and A Happy New Year to you too !

  6. Hello Andy,
Delighted to receive a link to this from Jenny (Cotton that was).
Really great stuff, and a touch of the old BBs( Bubbles that was) in there,I reckon.
AS to the football, I honestly can't figure out what the idea of that team selection was ,for the life of me.
UNless it's the old bollocks of writing off certain games, which is a disgraceful way to go about things.
    Best Milo

  7. Welcome aboard Milo, any comparison to the mighty Barney Bubbles and myself will be taken as an unmerited but gladly accepted compliment. Sticking with the BB concept, I am a Billy Bonds man and like Captain Marvel himself, I don't like to write off results let alone games. The whole thing ( selection and strategy) cries out what the hell was Alf Tupper (SA) thinking ?

  8. Pottsy's out and about and aok. Good news.
    I like him. Real potential.

Pretty historic tonkin anyway. I suppose we could have walked off and left them to it. Not much difference.

Fulham up next. Who's going to show up then.
    Always fun on the Ironocoaster!

  9. The river's of discontent are rising around Alf (KUMB and West Ham Till I Die) and he needs 3 points at Craven Cottage to settle the ship and assure all concerned the dreaded drop is no concern of The Irons.

  10. All gone a bit wobbly! Alf doesn't seem to inspire them anymore, not that they shouldn't inspire themselves, but it is his job. I think it's 1 win in the last 8. 3 points on the banks if the thames is a MUST!

  11. I'm not sure it's Alf. Admittedly the one up front plan may have had it's day, so may be up for review,
but the lads just don't seem to be able to get it over the doorstep. Don't know if it's hoodoo, voodoo or youdoo but there's deffo a lot more coulda , shoulda, woulda at play than is normal.
I'd like to think when we get a few back from the casualty list there'll be a new deal.

    Wishful thinking ?

  12. Fulham let in four today, so that levels the playing field somewhat, but I would really like to see two upfront and for Nobby to put in a shift, lately he looks like he's been auditioning for The Invisible Man.

  13. I have never seen the team fall to shambles so quickly as they did in the seconds half. if Potts did not go off and break the flow of the game I am sure the game would have not ended anything less then 8-1. Sam is clearly telling the team to boot it up but its clearly not working yet he refuses to change tactics.

  14. I can't really argue with you there Don't Hurt 'Em - if we have ever fallen apart more quickly I must have blacked it out of my memory. I also agree what's the point in booting it up the pitch to Arsenal, it seemed all they had to do to regain possession was wait for the ball to arrive ! Something's got to change for Fulham.

  16. Jarvis, Joe Cole, and Diame tried to resist Tyrant Allardyce by playing attractively and Sam thinks that benching them will stop the truth from getting out but he is wrong. 3 more straight losses and he has no job

    1. Well with Jarvis, Joe Cole and Diame in your team, there should be no need to be "booting it up there" Don't Hurt 'Em. Seemed to me that was all Jussi was doing at Emirates and we all know where that put us - no not Barking Creek the next one over ! Alf must surely be aware that fuses are getting shorter.

  17. Dig the art piece posters and love the word "tonking." We don't have it in American. Hammers have a lot to teach us ;)

  18. Ahoy there Christian ! From the phrase/word "tonk" to hit heavily. Come to think of it puts Hank Williams' " Honky Tonkin' " in a whole new light - cue "Django Unchained" !

  19. Lets hope he can shoot like Django when he is "unchained" Filthy !

  20. Say goodbye to Mr. Allardyce..... Say goodbye...... (team) goodbye Mr. Allardyce *BOOOOOOM*

  21. Have some mercy Quent...I mean Don't Hurt 'Em. A few comments back he still had until 3 more losses !

  24. Moddesstest of the Mod!!
Laugh's out of the way, who else thinks Alf's on his horse?

Any guesses as to the new man?

Me, I think he'll stay but if there isn't a fairly major turnaround in the run up to the end he'll be gone by next season.
What I do think we need is a few healthy returns, AC particularly.

  25. Giddeeup! He's got the saddle on for sure. I don't think it'll be his choice...
I am surprised that I'm disappointed that he hasn't kicked in when he was needed, and lived up to his reputation. Too good too soon?
    Too many o's?
He was last year, this year shoulda' been a new ron Greenwood. but that's too passe; shoulda' stuck with zola.
    Joe cole player/manager?

  27. Although I feel it's a bit early to be discussing P45's/pink slips, I do agree that it's time for Alf to win a few "from the bench" if you like. "If we play above the fray Mr Tupper gets to stay" - Andy "Cassius" Pepper ! PS I deleted the above comment as I'd balls up me poem !
