Best you can say is we didn't get a total caning. Could have been a lot worse. It's also a case of you can't argue with someone who can spend 10 times what we can to acquire the talent. Onward and upward, West Brom next, not the team they were out the gate> So could we , would we, will we?
Tis true, he was in fine form. I think everyone did their bit but as usually the case the finishing was a little short. There was a lot of expensive talent against us and they played like it. So all in all no points but we went down swingin.
In another age AC's header would not have been disallowed and at least for a while we would have been level. But David "Powder Puff" not only uses Marc Bolan's hairdresser, he also acts like him when he's defending. It's a bit ripe from the team that gave the world Ron "Chopper" Harris !
I think Luiz's hair is actually Chopper's pubic hair grafted on to give him the history of the club. But it is a bit excessive even for a man of Chopper's virility! He made a meal of AC's shove. "I've seen'em not given" but yeah...live to fight another day. 3 points up next will keep any worries at bay. Stadium deal looks like it'll go ahead. I was reading that the Boleyn will be sold for development and the proceeds (66% owned by Gollivan) will be used to pay off outstanding debt, as, once the ground is sold, the club will have "no assets" to guarantee they honour their rental agreement. It's probably all fine and how things are done these days, but I do worry that the club could be fragile and things go wrong at the olympic and they're left without a home or assets! Still..one thing at a time. Finish the season in style! And talking about style...looking at your image, some things never go out of style, even in the wrong kit. In any kit she's a keeper...well..I don't mean she's good with her hands....er...
I seen not 'em given at Stamford Bridge last Sunday Filthy ! Lay a finger on one of these International Super Stars and down they go, unless of course it's a corner and then it's a competition to see how much shirt they can grab. As for your concern about "assets", with the kind of debts we have I'm not sure how much real security "owning" The Boleyn Ground offers ? The Ann Summers Brigade can't be expected to pull a Mary Poppins and whip out a hundred million nicker from a bottom-less bag. If they want their money back in their own lifetimes, shifting some real estate has got to be part of the equation, no ?
I think that's a 9 on her shorts- so probably Osgood. The olympic deal does look pretty good for the Hammers. 15mil up front then 2 mil a year rent ain't very much. Then if they can wipe out all debt and buy themselves a new jag then everyone's happy. no? (Well maybe not the orient)
The stadium's sorted so let's concentrate on being in the right division to half fill it at least. I quite like mr. Hammer's idea of having CC and AC up front and personal. Gotta pump it in and ignore the criticism of being old fashioned. Safety first!
Well that makes 3 of us on the AC/CC "Dynamic Duo" front. Surely a partnership, should be given more than 10 minutes when your 2 nil down "to click" ? If Alf doesn't pick up where we left off last episode,I'll have to take that as a sign that he's not interested in pursuing the Heavyweight Tag Team option
As for The Olympic being "sorted" Filthy, experience has taught me to step lightly. Surely between Barry Hearn, Spurs, The Daily Mail, The European Economic Bureaucratic Network, Sheffield United and something Carlos Tevez has done recently there will be a spanner hurled in Thames Iron Works direction ?
Oi! How'd you get a photo of me! (Just kidding) Where have I been? You might all be asking yourselves... In Cyprus! on the nude beaches (still wearing my claret and blue trainers of course!) The beaches are still free at least. Here me, Andy? (not YOU Andy Pepper!) Bless you Hammers. Here comes the warmer weather and some passionate artful football! XO-CBTG
That's where you've been hiding CBTG, on the rude beach in Cypress ! i knew there was more to all this Cypriot Commotion than the papers have been telling us. As for AC we'll need him until the end of the season, so no booking more holidays until the last week of May !
Best you can say is we didn't get a total caning.

And Jussi deserves some serious credit for keeping that score-line down, Smitty.

ReplyDeleteYeah well eventually they will have the Premier League Oscars and he's setting the groundwork for the nod. Not impressed personally.

ReplyDeleteAs for Raquel, Filthy I wonder if the kit was a gift or a "trophy" (the spoils of conquest) ? Peter Osgood perhaps, or David Webb ??

Could it really be 3rd Time Lucky Filthy ? We've had The Olympic before and lost it - "The Large Print Giveth and The Small Print Taketh Away" !
ReplyDeleteI say go with starting the Cole Carroll Strike partnership
