Trials, Tribulations and Triumphs of being 3,473 Miles from Upton Park and West Ham United (Aug 2011 - May 2016)
I hate the long ball game but that last Ginge to AC goal was the epitome of the perfect long ball gol
"Playing to your strengths" ? Well it worked and I think those following can relax-not the players 'though! Ain't it funny how AC was being branded a waste of space a couple of weeks ago, and then yesterday I read a piece saying he should be leading the England line. Maybe a few more like yesterday and he could be there.
Well I think we all knew he had it in him, it just took a while.Sometimes I guess it just works that way. Also we were all figuring everyone "had our #" a while ago. Maybe the TV's on the blink in WB.Nice send off for the Saitch "tour". Bon Voyage Mr P.
Two top shelf goals from AC, Don't Hurt 'Em ! The first one was a Roy Of The Rovers header, up above them all and nutted with a vengeance. The follow up volley, inch perfect to AC, who took it over the shoulder "no conferring" on the volley, done and dusted ! By the way did you catch the Molumbo Red Card ? What a nutter !
Filthy, it is hard to imagine that we can't pull four more points from a remaining seven matches, but I agree the players need to push on and AC needs to get his tally up into double digits - five goals is hardly anything to brag about. Was his brace against Albion a response to Alf Tupper's mid week psychology, or as Smitty suggests, the pieces finally falling into place ? Whatever it was, I'll have another portion please !
Smitty, you are most definitely ITK on my travel plans - London, or more specifically Hoxton Calling !
A fab time with the Saitchers in the smoke. If I could get there first I could do my Lobby Lud bit and get my fiver
Just discovered your blog - LOVE the work! I'm a lifelong West Ham supporter (since my first game aged 6 - in 1963). Happy to be top flight, not happy with Tupper on the touch line. Looking forward to new art match by match. Fantastic stuff. Thanks. COYI.
Wotcha All, from the Apple Shop on Regent Street and welcome aboard Marcus. Had some problems clocking on in The Smoke and thus my visit here. I went to see The Olympic (from afar) and think I should post my thoughts on the The Olympic Stadium, Stratford "switch" below. So Have a dip when you get a chance.
Just been listening to you on the Radio - my Hubby is WestHam supporter- and I am an artist - Good Luck with the show
ps Really like your Work - very Clever !!
what an appearance this morning on Baker's show! Cracking stuff! Will defo be getting down to 'oxton at the earliest oppo. Wish I had the funds to buy some of your brilliant work
I was screaming at the radio this morning, what was the yodelling song Ian came on stage to. I have been trying to find out for years its driving me mad.
sounds like you're putting it about a bit Mr P. on the radio no less! I saw that there's another football related art show on in London right now as well. Still "there's only one Andy Pepper"Have fun! Liverpool tomorrow! you going?
Wotcha All, fair cop my cover has been blown ! I've got no one to blame but myself and I like me, so I'll get over it ! I'm going to be on Robert Elms Londoners show on Monday, but intend to keep the spotlight on here focused on the the usual fayre. Accidently deleted myself on the Olympic Stadium Saitch, so I'm going to have a second go now. WON'T MAKE IT TO MERSEYSIDE, BUT LIVERPOOL - LETS NICK IT !
This was my first and only hammers match. Most of your artwork makes sense but this one is a bit of mystery to me. I've wanted to ask about this for some time, obviously. I'd be much obliged though, if you could indulge me.
