West Ham Utd. v. Newcastle Utd

17 comments:

  1. lovely one A.P inspired by the Thames Ironworks Lifeboats ..or is it 'When the boat comes in'...or "Come in the Walrus in the Claret n Blue boat...your time is up"
or "We are failing...We are failing...lost at home ..once again" ...I never lose hope but in this case the 'clueless idealess useless Un-Chosen one has us all by the gooleys
i wonder what he's gonna do tomorrow in the 2nd leg v Man City...put out youngsters so they get the blame....put in a couple of extra defenders so they get the blame...or play attacking football, nothing to lose 6 nil or 26 nil...no difference...what hew should do tomorrow is crawl onto the pitch on his hands and knees at the end of the game and be sorry for...and beg forgiveness from the Claret & Blue army for what hes done to this club..
Already he's saying that we cant beat Chelsea at stamford bridge in a couple of weeks time...managers shouldnt do that...he should be telling the players to go out there and "rip the bastards heads off" (sorry A.P)
    HOPE YOUR FEELING BETTER cheers

  2. No need to apologise to me Slippery, someones got to rally the troops and once again we have to rely on leadership from The Faithful. I can't imagine Billy Bonds telling his players they can't win, I can't even imagine him thinking it ! Lord knows what we'll put out against Citeh ? lets just hope that their reserves aren't greedy for goals. Still AC should get another run out and I'm hoping some of the young uns will actually get to play in position - they should just give the whole match over to Tony Carr, our manager's clearly not interested in it !

  3. Thanks for the reference Kosmo, and as it turns out its apt. Perhaps more so would have been the HMS Black Prince, built by the Thames Ironworks in 1904. At the battle of Jutland it got separated from the Grand Fleet and wandered into the German main fleet at midnight. It got annihilated with all 857 hands lost.

Sort of like our 2013-14 season highlights so far....

  4. As I mentioned a few days ago - West Ham and lifeboats do seem to go together well Gavin, Right now I'm trying to stay focused on those saved - the perished being a little too close to home right now. Steady as she goes lads.....

  5. We have the figures actually: works out just over 9300 people saved by Thames ironworks lifeboats by our calculations. The debit side of the balance sheet is very low because the Thames Ironworks tended to produce the flagship deterrent ships. The HMS Warrior never fired her guns in anger and the HMS Thunderer 'super dreadnought' never engaged in battle proper.

  6. "Never fired her guns" and "never engaged in battle" - it gets more appropriate all the time Gavin !

  7. Looking good Mr P. Must be close to upanattem, somewhat similar to the boys , we hope.
Coulda nicked a point here, but not to be.
Nice to see the AC on even though he seems to be more in rugby conversion mode.
But, as we hope - "it's just rust."
Someone screwed up though, I think we had 2 up top for a bit, Can't be doing that sor of thing in the Prem.
I still think we'll squeak it but I think it's about time to check my pacemaker battery

  8. I'm on the rise Smitty, but a large portion of snow here in NYC is keeping my "Shore Leave" pass just beyond reach. Got my sights set firmly on 17th and although there's only 6 points between the bottom half of the table I feel Scuppered by Tupper and destined for remnants in the January sales.

  9. Yeah, not fun sloppin around out there when you're poorly.
The way Alf & the board are faffing around I think we'll get nowt and end up doing it as is.
Oh well, that well worn quote comes up again - time to get yer shorts dirty.
    COIYI !!!

  10. "fun" Smitty, there's a word that in the context of The Hammers is as rusty as AC. If you've got time, have a gander at Ian Dale's "Talking Point" on the West Ham Till I Die site. His comments on Karen Brady are well valid and delivered in a "one suit to another" style you wont find here.

  11. Just realised the Talking Point on West Ham Till I Die is in fact a guest post by Iron Cork. Nice job Corky !

    If only it wasn't true.

  13. A.P You may know or not know but you know when you hear something and it really really starts winding you up...not in a little niggling way...but in a way that you feel like you have steam coming out your ears...you wanna bite your own arms and legs off ..and put your nut straight through the monitor screen in front of you' sparks enall'..i cany believe that the football team of ours who've brought us all to our lowest claret n blue point that i can remember...have been rewarded with a 4 day trip to Dubai to do a bit of training in the sun...are they taking the mick n piss..the money that our fans who have or aint got have spunked on them to watch lately...i better stop typing now cos its winding me up even more looking at what a wrote and i cant afford a new monitor and me hampsteads aint what they were so i'll only end up gnawing me arms and legs off...cheers

  14. Dubai for real Slippery ? I found it in The Currant Bun but as we all know they are partial to porkies. Perhaps the Unchosen One is casing the gaff for his next job, can't see him finding work in Blighty after this stint.

    1. The official reason was (trying to justify it because they know its a wrong un) that after they did the same in 2012 the team done really well....if thats the case A.P. how comes Fatty Allarbuckle has already given the Chelsea game up as ive said before....the bloke is taking the piss out of all that is West Ham and G&S are letting him walk all over them because they cant give him the Tin Tac aint got the spondooleys to weigh him in and he knows it....

  15. Couldn't help but notice that G&S managed to dig up a million nicker bonus for Thatcher in High Heels.
