West Ham United v. West Bromwich Albion

  1. I think that was part of the problem, everyone turned up expecting a net load. Magic free kick, but otherwise no other nibbles. damp, lacking inspiration....Lanzini did his best again. I've never had fun fishing.......

  2. Agreed Filthy, once again Lanzini (in the first half at least) provided plenty of spark. As much as it pains me to do so, I met give some credit to Pullis who bunged n another striker moved his team up the pitch and took the second half. We just didn't seem to have a answer to that ?

  3. It's time for a win again, don't want to get into that same mode as last year. Saturday would be a fine one to start with, but they'll have to light a fire to do so against a Boring but lucky Man utd side.
In a far better position than last year, don't get me wrong, just don't want to see the joy disappear! Whatever it takes, ugly, bold, lucky, even a tarzan header in the 93rd minute, just get the 3 points!

  4. After we kicked off with a win against The Gooners , I told the Portobello Road Hammers (all stallhoders of course) that there would be no moaning before Xmas. That was before we scalped the other big three. A win would be lovely Filthy, but we are short three big players and a point at Old Trafford is never to be sniffed at - would really like to see the defense keep a clean sheet - the goalie's up to it. Then if Tarzan could scam in and put a cherry on the cake - well that would be cause for celebration ! As for Jelly, to me he looks well past his sell by date !

  5. Yep, he adjusted we didn't really.
I still have faith in SS but why this have to have a "striker "thing.
Tarzan couldn't get it in on the 83rd day the way we play now. We've already flogged this one to death. Not so sure about Jelly either.
We've got Linguini & Zorroate who look pretty strikerish to me running about. There's the great Antonio mystery, why not get him in there he seems to know where the goal is according to the highlight reel and we have options in midfield we didn't have before.
According to the new "rules" we should give manure a shellaking , lets see if we do.

  6. "A shellaking" Smithy - got to admire your spirit there matey ! The Lanzini - Zarate axis does seem the way to go and I agree lets see what Antonio's got in his tank, although my only concern there is that he's not cutting it in practise. # points of van Der Valk is top of my Xmas wish list - let's see if I can get an early present / COME ON YOU IRONS !!!!

  7. I stand modified, we should beat em by 2-3 goals to zip.
Tarzan isn't cutting it in the real thing, Jelly barely. What's holding us up, the fact that we might lose or draw, we can do that anyway.

Oh well, we shall see what we shall see.

  8. The way I see it If Tarzan is going to score it's going to be from a corner, a cross in from the wings or a deadfall - that's it! If Jelly scores it's going to be luck - Jelly with Jam on top is something the British don't do - I wonder if the Croatians do ? For Clueless and Co. Jelly = Jello and Jam = Jelly.
