West Ham Utd v. Stoke City

  1. I think Billy the slav has done all he can do. Time to sign Mourinho to the big contract.

  2. First on the draw C&B, with a Not So Special Now One comment to boot. I'm happy being part of The Bilic People - I like a manager with an air of reality about him. Jose's too Kings Road for us, but I wouldn't be surprised if he replaced Van Der Valk at Old Trafford next season.

  3. It's Antonio I really want to discuss. He works as hard as anyone out there, when he gets subbed out he is completely gassed and if he's trying his hardest what else is there. He was right in the middle of 5 or so scoring chances with nothing to show. At least Nolan buried it when he could. I know he is only a temp but I would rather see someone with his luck in the opposing colors.

  4. I think for Antonio this is a serious step up and he is in my book protected under the "work in progress" umbrella. There's no doubt he could/should have scored, but I don't think it's fair to compare with an old lag and poacher like Nobby. If he can get his game up I see him more in the Big Vic Moses mode, who hasn't been burying ' em lately either. Give the man a chance !

  5. I thought we did alright considering they're on a high and we're carrying more than our share of walking wounded. Antonio's premier appearance was obviously the talking point and he did Ok
and I agree, work in progress. A hat trick first time out was the dream but he was none to shabby nonetheless.
We seem to be back to the not being able to do the final knock ins again, Butland seems to be pretty much the dog's danglers nowadays so in our defence it ain't easy. As you say MR P we ain't losing and at least its fun to watch. Would have been great if Wile E got that last knock in, but ........

  6. It was still on the cards at the death wasn't it Smitty - I was full on in front of the box. We weren't the only side that lacked "the final knock in" either - Diouf had a couple of solid chances go begging too. Considering we're banged up and they beat Citeh the week before another point and another clean sheet isn't too shabby.

  7. Forgot to say that I thought both keepers earned nations in dispatches, they both pulled out top shelf stops !

  8. Carroll is hurt now. If he wanted Christmas off he should join a better union.

  9. So Tarzan's crocked for the Swans then, is this the return of normal service.

  10. Just read this gents - crocked where I wonder ? Might be something learned off is old mentor and mucker Nobby Nolan, who more often than not missed Xmas. Although Nobby would usually go for a red card and get 2, possibly 3 games off !

  11. It's his groin, so I guess a little too much Jane ?

  12. Probably strained his groin tying up his pubic man bun. Adrian made some great stops, and it was a good game with everything but goals. Think the result was good as well. With the number of injuries, this run of draws is just fine. Think Bilic is doing a good job, whatever's necessary. Stoke are a decent team this year.
I wouldn't go anywhere near mourinho. He's poison. I think Mr P's right he'll be taking over from old big 'ead when he van der valks!

  13. So I wonder what Super Slav will do upfront ? For my money I'll be happy if it doesn't involve Jelly starting. Maybe some kind of Zarate and Valencia axis ?
