  1. Hope's it's not been too frustrating, all this waiting - for Saitch that is...

  2. Not half as frustrating as watching everyone trying to find the goal.
Could write a book , but nuff said.

  3. Well some sort of coverage up front has arrived Smitty, we've signed Mladen Petric on loan from Fulham - a journeyman Croatian. I know sod all about him, but will have a dig about and see if anyone does (Comments Please). Obviously the news is not going to be greeted with rousing renditions of "Knees Up Muvver Brown", but here's hoping he can grab as a few.

  4. "rousing renditions of "Knees Up Muvver Brown" is relative. Personally I'm glad to see anyone who knows how to point straight North after Stoke.
Had a quick shufti , doesn't look like a total waste of time.
NUMB, NUMB, tumdiddly tum tum etc,

  5. No he doesn't Smitty and "surplus to requirements" at Fulham, doesn't look so shabby when you look at their front line. Could this be Alf's chance to give the old 4-4-2 a go ?

  6. Cottee is fighting Carlton Coles corner for him urging West Ham to re-sign him despite fitness..my opinion we have nothing to lose by replacing the big 'ol' Geordie Wor Andy..with a little Geordie cum Cockney Elliot Lee...you never know but Mladens Lamp could hold a Genie...3 wishes anybody

  9. Mr Beckett...more lines on his face than a spanish football team..or grandmaster Flash....I hope the wait for Carroll isn't as long, The wait for Godot seemed to last most of my schooldays.
Indeed a fine work Mr P.
A tedious but successful England result today. Hopefully a bit more enterprise on the South coast on Sunday. That's winnable!

  10. Still nothing official on AC's latest knock ("same foot - different injury") Filthy, lets hope I wont be scouring the archive for a picture of Diana Ross in a couple of months, or worse still Dean Ashton !

  11. Or the worsest worse and his name should never be spoken by anyone with any West Ham 'in em'
    K....n 'the c**t' D..r

  12. Terrible news about AC being injured AGAIN but it is not realistic for our season to be contingent on a single player, and if we played like we did last week we might be in the relegation battle ourselves this year

  13. We cant afford to play like we did against Stoke full stop Don't Hurt 'Em. If we do there will be no "might" about it - Alf is going to have shake things up until AC returns and make some changes in approach. I don't know anything about Petric, but he doesn't look like a Lone Ranger and we already know Maiga aint one either. We've got to use what we've got - lets pull a surprise on The Saints and nick all 3 points on Sunday CMON YOU IRONS !

  14. its sad but there's more chance of Godot turning out than young
    Andy !

  15. Welcome to Saitch, Johnny Boy, I'm guessing by your tag - that you are of a different faith than mine and I'm always interested in another angle on the issues of the day. I'm hoping that Alf Tupper (AKA Big Sam - you may have another name for him) will pour some water on the flames of fear spreading through the East London Axis in his Friday Press Pow Wow. I'm off to have a gander

  16. According to Alf Ac's done his "Plantar Fascia" (cue reaction shot from Kenneth Williams) and will not need an operation. He said there was no present schedule for recovery and that it had something to do with tissue under his foot, which I hope isn't Izal Medicated !

  17. Plantar Fascia!!

  19. Yeah, there's more there to whinge about than I thought.

  20. This is not the time for whingeing Smitty, it's time to get primed for the ruin Southampton's Sunday afternoon ! I'm gonna crank up The Small Faces !!!

  21. IRONS NEVER WHINGE!!
We can take it - and do on a reglar basis!!

    Carrolls seem to.

but on the bright side I think we have a shot at the Saints

    COYI!!

  22. I had plantar fasciaitis (?) a few years ago and was told it just takes time..... a few months in my case. Of course I was very fit at the time and had an army of accupuncturists/masseuses/doctors to speed my recovery. I'm hoping AC will be quicker to recover. Why'd you go and mention K***** D*** Slippery? I'm going to have to go and lie down. I saw he was officially voted the biggest waste of money(space) ever in the Premier league.

  23. Filthy...i've had a banging headache since i foolishly mentioned the name...may i become impregnated by Saddam Hussains plumbers camel for my blasphemy//

  24. It's quite an achievement when you think about it - The Biggest Waste Of Money Ever In The Premier League - no point in being second best I guess.

  25. £450,000 per game....and never played a full 90mins for us

    ReplyDelete
  26. A full 90 would have meant only five grand a minute and the possiblity of playing for free in extra time !
