The way Chelsea and Watford are playing, losing to the Hornets is far more acceptable, but a shame nonetheless. I like the yellow bricks Mr P, I don't know if Reg still goes down Vicarage road. Watford the better side all along. Collins, no complaints. Carroll should not start. Why use a more "championship" style target man against a very solid top "championship" team.
Must confess I was a bit antsy when I got a stream (outside of NYC) and saw AC starting. We were never really in it were we - we couldn't seem to play the ball up the field.
Everton coming up and I'm sure Martinez will have a plan to keep Payet quiet and will also have studied ow the teams that have beat us pulled it off. Super Slav in the meantime will no doubt have a couple of ideas as to how to get back to winning ways. I fear Sakho is still not fit, but I don't think 90 minutes from Tarzan (my new AC tag) is the way to go. COME ON YOU IRONS !!!
Weismuller he ain't but there are certain similarities. He'd more at home in the celebrity survival remake of Tarzan. Everton will be strong and much as I hate for him to start I think going wide and crossing for AC could be the way to go. Jagielka and Stones might not like it up 'em.
Wasn't thinking so much Weismuller (certainly not Wisemuller) but more of a cross between Ron Ely of TV Tarzan and Greystoke of the long barnet. You can see what I mean though - swinging' in through a jungle of defenders - taking all and ball into the back of the net. Can just see him thumping his chest afterwards too ! Why has it taken me 3 years to think of this ???

ReplyDeleteThis team would be top of our group if we were in the Champions League and bottom of the table if we were in League 1
ReplyDeleteThat's as good a definition of "The West Ham Way" as I have ever heard Don't Hurt 'Em.
