West Ham v. Everton

  1. I've been in Atlanta GA. so this is late and obviously influenced by current events not only to West Ham, but Paris too.

  2. AArgh, just left a long post, but it got wiped out- my mistake. In short said that it is difficult to know what to do with ISIS . Those that truly believe in it have no fear of death and desire the end of the world. The shows of unity and not being publicly scared of them is good, but not enough. Will England fans change to "no surrender to the ISIS"? and will that increase attacks on innocent muslims? Very messy all round.
Also said that I was wrong to think that AC would be a good choice to start against everton. Waste of space from what I saw, but still only needs one good header!

  3. Didn't really intend to way in on what to do about terrorism Filthy, but also didn't want to ignore it entirely, but whatever these people are or are not - they are not real Muslims. They are the angry and the brainwashed who have been or are being, manipulated by the evil - not very different from Nazis. I was working on something else for Saitch, but scrapped it after the Paris massacre.
Back to the Irons - Tarzan did not appear as I had hoped and behaved more like the King of the Jungle presented with an ordnance survey map !

  4. Just so there's no mystery the "original" Everton Saitch was much more focused on Payet injury courtesy of James McCarthy. As you can see I kept the "get well soon" caption.

  5. Yeah, I presumed it was a reference to him. I heard he won't need surgery, but still out for weeks too long

  6. Last I heard it was 3 months for Payet, and the New Year for Valencia - which presents Super Slav with quite a challenge. Is Sakho fit ? We really need another option other than Tarzan up top on his todd.

  7. According to The Guardian Sakho is fit - so I hope we're up for a battle because as of late Spuds have stepped it up a bit.

  8. spuds on a roll, it'll be tough, but Slav will have a plan. I can't really call it. I think I'd attack their full backs. I'll go for Moses as the man. Lets see if I can get it wrong 2 games in a row!

  10. It would certainly be the day for Big Vic to have a scorcher Filthy and maybe Valencia will strut some too. Lets "Mash Them Spuds" as Slippery used to say (Paging Mr. Dooh Dah).
On the Veterans front they have Memorial Day weekend as the official kick off to summer down here. It goes back to The Civil War and I think it was first started by the Confederate side. No flowers on lapels but much marching about and flag waving - which as the world knows The USA never seems to tire of.

  11. I see Sunderland beat CPalace, and people raving about "Good old Sam" "relegation proof" "top bloke". Nothing against Sunderland, but I'd like to see him take them down, maybe learn some humility.

  12. I've got a feeling that's going to happen Filthy, or maybe like you it's just wishful thinking.

  13. Could well be wishful thinking Filthy, Tupper just earned another 3 points !
