Well that was exciting, if they were still playing we'd still be waiting for a goal. Always fun to watch though.Nobody stepped up to be counted but a couple of closies on both sides and back to ours for a slappin. Notables Is Tonks gonna go in the golden gloves? He'll soon have the boat for it, Never seen so many above the neck injuries on one geezer. JOB !! Was he like that before or is Payet just teaching everyone to dance? It's been a while but I don't remember him being that good begorrah. A suitable back up we never knew we had. Not a total waste but I think it's time to get the money back on Moses, not sure he'd look quite so lazy if GGGreat wasn't there, but he certainly does. Randolph - considering the question mark and the stick he got coming in, he's a good lad.Quality stops more than once.
Ah Mr P, put me out of my misery, who is the beefed one? Looks familiar but I can't find him in my brain. One more game at home, good to see some lesser seen faces. Liverpool really didn't want another game. loverly!
Hardly the "Thrilla In Manilla" Smitty, but those that were hoping for a replay and there were more than a few have Randy to thank. Not saying that SeƱor San Miguel wouldn't have stopped them too, but it was our goalie that had to make the saves. It was nice to see Joey O step up, must confess that I was concerned when he came on and expected the Scousers to apply more pressure on him than they did.
You weren't the only nervous one C&B, I was fearing a scrappy goal. I was also surprised how much we missed Noble - Song and Payet didn't seem to link up, but 3 clean sheets against Liverpool in one season is quite an achievement even if we rarely looked like winning it.
Well Filthy - I thought the E13 on the fez would be enough. I'm going to assume that you would have got the rest of the cast of "Casablanca" - Bogie,Begmann, Lorre, Rains and… a man who certainly through in his lot with The Hammers….Sidney Greenstreet !!!
Just read that young Byram has "a knock' and assuming Tomka is still not in a position to nut the ball (well handy when you're a defender) looks like an encore for Joey O - don't get banged up tonight son !
You've failed the audition for University Challenge Filthy, or would "Casablanca" be more Mastermind territory ? No conferring. As far as the Scousers go Filthy, I'm looking for a cherry to go on the top of my birthday cake on February 9th.
Poxy ref must've been whistling 'ferry cross the mersey' & 'youll never walk alone'in his changing room before the game, one possible and one definate handball inside the box...and a 'laser guided' back pass that he deemed wasnt...liverpool are a spent force that cant hide behind former glories and 'hard as nails tough as old boots' managers'' I'll be there tuesday in my seat watching us demolish the red army 3-0....C.O.Y.I
For all the money that trades hands in the Premiership Slippery, I'd like to see a bit more of it spent on some quality referees. I've come to expect the regular denial of a penalty, but the ref was right there for that back pass ! what's the bloody point of everybody making all that effort on how to and how not to pas back to the goalie if when someone does finally break the rule nothing happens.
refs decision on back pass probably depends on what teams are playing and at what ground...he mustve a colostomy bag fitted cos he aint got no 'arsole'..should be made accountable for big decisions cos theres too much 'mullahh' at stake nowadays

Sure was an exciting one. I was getting nervous toward the end. Nice to see the irons rest a few of the big names and still take it to them.

ReplyDeleteAargh, of course. I got the E13 but was too slow.... it is a fabulous record against the scousers, and one more to come!
