Still away from home, so I've knocked up a quick IOU until I get back to NYC. Watched the game with the Atlanta Ironworks posse at the Brew House Cafe in Atlanta. A great bunch, very sharp and in fine voice too - you can imagine the second half knees up !
Not bad for an on the run Mr P. I wish we'd stop doing this, bad for the digestion. Still Payet earned his raise and Nobes got a scorcher. Can't be bad. Why can't we play Accrington, my #2 team need a win.
very nice Saitch mr P. almost pretty! colours a bit japanese, and the mirror image, a tale of 2 halves? Entertaining game, particularly towards the end. Norwich really needed that so it was a bit cruel to give it to them and then take it away- but it's the right attitude. I love the sound of shots like Noble's
I really thought we were going to get a 3rd when the second one went in and it was truly luverly to see Noble bury one from distance, a glimpse of the footballer as a young man. Speaking of Nobes, theres a #16 bus in Atlanta and it's destination - I kid you not Noble !
Forgot to mention Tarzan out again - I would think he probably feels he's done for a couple of months know, maybe fit for the FA Cup Semis, or just Wemberley ? Lanzini back - deep joy, Smitty will be cranking the Pavarotti or his Dean Martin "sings Italian" LP !
Somebody's got to tell him when he's swinging home from the piss to mind the trees. If it was a joke before, what's the word I'm looking for now. No Pavs or Deano, don't have any of them but the Linguini Manuelo is ready for the after match scoff
Lansing is a city in Michigan last I heard Filthy. Michigan - Italy, look at us getting all National Geographic, it's surprising what a trip to the sticks can bring on.
Keeping with a National Geographic theme - it's time for Emmanuel Eminke to step up. From Nigeria to South Africa, Turkey, Russia and now Green Street. Can't say I was over impressed with his performance against Norwich, but it was nothing a goal or two against Blackburn wouldn't fix. With Sakho, Tenner, Tarzan out and Jelly on a slow boat to China he's our only "striker' - but fortunately there's now a whole heap of Hammers that could, on form, do the honours.
I thought Manny did ok for an off the bench cameo. Almost in the right place, almost at the right time a couple of times.More than can be said for most of the up tops we've had. I think a lot depends on where GGGreat plays RB or in front. We've got enough to take em either way, just depends who shows up.
Well we'd better be right on it, because Rovers are going to be hoping we're slow out of the blocks and they can get one early. Hopefully the traveling faithful will not only be many but loud. COME ON YOU IRONS !!!!
So what's the wild life like in Lansing Mr P? Well...I did some digging as I presumed the editors of National Geographic hadn't put any pins in the map at Michigan. But! Iggy Pop's birthplace: Muskegon Michigan, raised in a trailer park at Ypsilanti Michigan, and there was the famous elephant incident in Lansing in 1963. An escaped circus Elephant being pursued by a frenzied crowd of 4,000 Lansing citizens. Apparently the Elephant trashed the menswear dept of Arlan's before being shot. My sympathies are with the elephant. Was the National Geographic there for that one? I'll have to flick through my back copies to find out!
This one has really grown on me and received a very positive response, so it stays as is. Apparently the "wind up" of using budgies instead of canaries worked a treat on Facebook !

Carroll's out again, but Lansing could be back! A double dose of good news?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words Smitty and Filthy as you know I 'm quite a fan of flattery.
