Agreed. Seemed like they settled in too late to give them enough chances to put one in. I personally would prefer to see a few more good old fashioned West Ham scrums in the box to the constant high flying crosses over the box.
nasty tackle (shouldn't call it that), definitely a red. Is Payet a marked man? Shame couldn't take advantage. Never really had the spark to go and win it. Ol Cap'n Tomka in the wars again!
Once Tarzan is on, we've got to fire in those crosses or it aint going to happen,as was the case for what seemed like about the first 20 minutes when he did come on C&B. It aint rocket science but it can work, I can't see us plying the ball into his feet and him scoring !
I'm with you on the red Filthy, he hunted Payet down and took him out. I thought they handled being a ten man side well and we would have needed to up the pace and get them crosses in to catch up. The Saints beat West Brom (3-0), Man U and held Arsenal to a draw, so they're hardly shabby opponents and once again we were slow out of the traps, which is now common knowledge.
Y'all beat me to the Saitch but all I can say is WTF was that!! Red - deffo. Tarzan on, no break down of wall, should be crosses in from everywhere by everyone, hoofball as you've never seen it before, time to earn his gazillions. Goal in, at least a point. What did we do, tippy tappy, fiffy faffy AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!. We'd still be trying to score now. I'm all for the lads and enjoying the season but that was disgraceful. First time since the Fat F**k left the tele looked in imminent danger. One positive, I like the new guy, he's a trier at least
To a certain degree Smitty, it was the Villa game without the goals from us. Antonio certain didn't have a tiger in his tank, not even a tail on his scooter ariel - it happens. Still don't think we're making enough use of Payet, marked man or not and as Filthy pointed out Tomka back in the Pirate wars - must be Joey O tomorrow night your Byram's cup tied !
Very similar to the Villa game, but the Saints are a better team so harder to break. GGGReat or no, everyone has to be on their toes. Tippy Tappy not working, play the Tarzan card. Play to his strengths. Much as I don't like the guy, they never gave him a chance. Yeah, Tomka definitely looking Golden Gloves material nowadays. What's the story on his leg, I looked but nothing concrete. How long to they figure he's out? JoeyO looked good last run out so I'm not panicing. Wonder if we'll see Manny, The Nigerian Nightmare up front? Is he bigger than GGGreat, that's a lotta muscle between em. Gonna be tight on the night, could go either way but we've always got Adrian the penalty king. Possible last cup tie under the lights at Upton, whatever happens the place will be rockin. Iroooooons !
The Faithful will be 12th man for sure Smitty anklets hope they give it the extra and don't get all milky at the first sign of aggro. Klopp is going to fancy his chances - 4 without a loss is a big ask, but as we all know - if West Ham show up full force we can beat 'em. Here's to a night to remember and a birthday (for me) that I'll never forget ! COME ON YOU IRONS !!!!
Well some good come of it Slippery, although I suspect it cost more than a tenner to get down there and in. You'd think people would have the decency to drop a decent amount - what can you do with a tenner nowadays ?
Howdy from Atlanta Filthy ! Well happy Payet's re-signed now down to Super Slav to get a little bit more out of him on the pitch. There's no denying his talent, but it would be nice to see it used to full effect (affect ?).

ReplyDeletegood saitch A.P
ReplyDeletemy son found a tenner in the ground..
rain stopped play..
To go along with the tenner, more good news, Looks like Payet has signed up for a longer contract.

Did the right think with Dimitri, now just get Lanzini locked in and the good time will keep coming.
Re the tenners Smitty - I guess it's the gesture that counts ! "Lanzini locked" would be Luverly !
