West Ham v Ipswich

  1. 89th minute! Done by the tractor Boys?! At Home?! Not good, but still looking handy, 2 points off the top. If this is the bad spell, it's going OK. But better end soon. The stats said Ipswich had more shots...your view?

  2. Wotcha Filthy, I didn't even manage an earball for this one and had to make do with text, which always has that "day late and a dollar short" feel to it. It seems like the Tractor Boys had the better of it in the first half, but we woke for a bit after the break. But the other 2nd Division results have run our way, so I''m feeling batter.

I have 3 concerns right now: #1) Lack of concentration for the last 5 minutes or so. #2) No goals (except for a penalty) for 3 games. #3) The team isn't enjoying playing at home, where the crowd is too easily spooked.

Being more familiar with the 2nd Divison than I'd have preferrred, I knew this season wasn't going to be a "Tiptoe Thru The Tulips". If we can get my above concerns sorted we'll be back where we belong.

  3. Still on track for the ten points in five games but typical for an x-west ham player to get his first goal of the season against us in the 89th min. Carlton is back to his old crap-ola self again.

  5. Howdy Hammer, I agree ten from five should see us back to the Promised Land and hasn't Bowyer scored against us every game since he left ? As for Cole, I've never been a fan of the Lone Striker concept and even the original had Tonto ! - it's now or never Carlton, got to put 'em away son !

  6. Ola zorro, if you mean we'll have 3 points of Palace I am with you amigo. We have top shelf support away from Green Street and the lads seem a little more free. By the way, how do you keep the mask clean ? I mean dropping it off at the dry cleaners would be a bit of a giveaway, no ?

  7. Given to me, not so bad. I wash my mask.
    No fear, I'm around.
Let's have strength and hope for the game to the end.Clue,
there are two different teams in two different leagues and country's playing today. My team plays in black and white. 2 Black Panthers will save the games.

  8. You've stumped me zorro ! At first all I could think of is H Rap Brown, Bobby Seale and Huey Newton, none of them known for their skills with a football. Is this something to do with Boavista FC ?

  10. If I'd wanted cryptic clues I would have stuck to the Guardian crossword.
I was going to suggest Dunfermline but I can't tie in Black Panthers or see Zorro enjoying the winds off the Firth of Forth.

  11. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, not having much luck are we, but to brighten everyone's day let us rejoice in the glad tidings of the defeat of Arsenil by our wonderful boys in Norf London which will heighten the festivities of upcoming Yom Kippur. Shalom.

  12. Your mob are much improved Big Chiv, which comes as no surprise now you have Scotty Parker At The Controls. Still you have to admit The Gooners are the only authentic North London team, your lot being happy to trade Tottenham for Stratford . Well sorry mate, your too late !
