Reading v West Ham

  1. Overall CRAP performance, who would have thought that Faubert would be our hardest working player. Its a shame that Nolan and Noble couldn't pull the team back together. All I can say is CRAP and I feel bad for those guys having to hear Sam's Wrath.

  2. Must disagree on this one Don't Hurt 'Em, with the exception of Tomkins and Faubert, I reckon they all deserve a good bollocking. From the last 5 minutes before half-time until the end of the match, the entire game was played in our half - disgraceful !

  3. We have to remember even Scotty didn't show up in some games. I wouldn't be too worried unless we lose again next week

  4. Although I'm MAD about the game, I love the artwork that ensued! Also Tomka saved us twice! Go my boy!

  5. Howdy Don't Hurt 'Em. Mentioning Scotty P, the second half actually reminded me of last season and with two sent off in a way it was even worse. With two - two match to work off at once and all the injuries, we're going to have to dig deep.

  6. Flattery will get you everywhere CBTG. As mentione to Don't Hurt 'Em, your Boy James "Ladies Choice" Tomkins was one of only two of our players that should have left the field with his head held high. As you know it's a good looking head too !

  7. Yup, no real need to worry, unless it continues next week. Then it might be "witch doctor time" Haven't really lost any ground...biggest danger is losing the feeling of invincibility.
Good work mr P. A riot of colour!

  8. Wotcha Filthy, once again The Saints slipped - only getting a point and at home too. Squad wise, I'm not sure what Alf will have at his disposal for the Barnsley game (Yes Barnsley - sad but true), but Nolan and Noble will have to show up and boss it - no excuses. Much obliged for your "riot of colour" compliment, someone sharper than me would make a witty post modern Strumme (Chelsea)/Jones(QPR) comment, but all I can come up with is "A Colour Riot Of My Own" !

  9. Shabby Showing, sloppy all round.
    'nuff said.
    We've got to do better.
The very words -A loss at Barnsley - would be a choker. Let alone the event.

  10. Smitty if "A loss at Barnsley - would be a choker" (your words not mine), imagine what it would be like to lose to them on Green Street , which is not going to happen next Saturday !

  11. Oops slip of the 'board.
A loss to Barnsley shouldn't happen anywhere.
I can't happen at home, I dread to think........

  12. With two losses on the trot and the Xmas Shopping in full swing the crowd might be a bit thin against The Tykes (don't ask me !). Having said that what some geezers will do to escape the old Xmas shopping torture.....

  13. So...maybe a new trend: my prediction of this weekend's WEst Ham game is:
3-1 the Hammers. Scientifically based on the past month's results. Of course one of the beauties of the beautiful game is it's unpredictability.
Still, if Alf's worth his salt, it's 3-1.

  14. 3-1 would be cause for a Knees Up Filthy ! I'm just hoping for 3 points, as Alf wont have that much to pick from. Hopefully the Upton Park crowd will lift whoever we have out there, it's not the time to get on the team's backs. It's a cheap match to attend (much obliged Messrs. Sullivan & Gold), so it should be a full house and we could certainly use a 12th man. C"MON YOU IRONS !!!!
