More than likely the lack lustre Fulham team that played yesterday wont bat an eyelid about Jol getting the sack..the Fulham players coach got stuck at the traffic lights outside The Boleyn Pub yesterday. i.gave them the old 'J Arthur Rank wave ..of Dis approval...funny they never even bothered to wave back... Glad to see we all had a smile on our faces as we left the ground after the game..great to see Carlton get a goal ..loved it...& Morrisson slinging a few tricks in here and there..gonna be a player'n'arf if he keps his nut down
You're right Slippery, I wanted to get something up to celebrate Carlton's story book return sharpish. A real Roy of The Rovers moment and some much deserved relief for the Green Street faithful. Was Jol on the Fulham coach or had he already scarpered early down The District Line ? What's that Bob Dylan song "Stuck Outside The Boleyn With The Claret & Blues Again" ?
Very quick, and very good Mr P! CC would be pleased to be looking so fit! Fitness is important, but for his role it is more a question of being in the right place at the right time. Fulham, and Jol, had already surrendered before kick off, which was just the ticket(!). Now confidence high, 3 points in deepest Norwood, and it's a brave new world! Alf can tuck into his Turkey, sprouts and ale relaxed and with secured employment and some spending money for the new year sales. Oh wot a luverrly war!
No. Bob's a Spud Filthy, sometimes known as Spud Dylan, that song was written after hanging out with Bill Nicholson in the 60's. As for Alf, I hope is hungry as I am for 3 points off Palace Tuesday night - first Jol, next Pulis and AVB on the horizon - Irons on the warpath !
Bob Dylan without a doubt.....but maybe both. Bill Nicholson belonged to a romantic, black and white era of football magic. Before my time but subconsciously to be admired. Bob Dylan belonged to a similar era, but from a different galaxy. I think I hated him from before I knew who he was. His romance, and he undeniably has some (but not for me), is completely different. I "could " admire Bill Nicholson, but I wilfully do not, and could not, admire Bob "Spud" Dylan
Just been reading about the spuds attempt to get better atmosphere in WHL, and how the authorities are working against the supporters group (lead by "the fighting Cock! fanzine). Over this. Irons fans were labelled as the most difficult away fans to deal with due to: "increased,organised problematic fans." Bless!
