Trials, Tribulations and Triumphs of being 3,473 Miles from Upton Park and West Ham United (Aug 2011 - May 2016)
Shameless Self Promotion - There's a show that opens in Decatur tonight, that runs through December 6th. I'm down there right now and off to see the England match in Little Five Points on my lunchbreak from hanging for tonight's opening/ More info from VinsonArt.com or BuyBritishArt.com. Shout out to Shawn Vinson for puttng half Hammers half World Cup show together - a Top Shelf Man.
So there you are..down south......Wembley pitch ruined by NFL! I was going to say it shouldn't be allowed, but then realised that a few baseball fields (?) have probably been wrecked by travelling pre season prem teams.Have fun.
Opened last night Filthy, met some nice folks and more than a few some old pals. Was also graced with the presence of actor Lennie James (Spuds ticket holder) in Georgia filming - diamond geezer for sure. Caught the second half of the England game and thus all four goals, but I was a bit distracted and couldn't pay proper attention.
From what I heard neither could they (England, pay attention), especially in the first half!.
Had another go at England today (vs. Scotland) and must say that Downing didn't make much of a case for himself in the first half. He wasn't on in the second and the commentary was in Spanish, so I assume he wasn't hurt. Mostly dull stuff from both sides and not worth watching.
Didn't see the Scotland game, I was stuck at work and there doesn't seem to be quite the fire there was in that fixture. (or maybe it's just me) I read that it was a bit better from an England point of view. I heard nothing about Downing, so that's not so good.
The show at Lightroom is now officially "over', but the remaining artworks can still be seen in Decatur by appointment just contact Shawn Vinson at Vinson Art 404-939-2787 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
