  1. Maybe...but it was looking good for this year. I know there always can be days like these, but why this day? Anyone got the skinny on Nene?

  2. They played, we didn't.
    They wanted it, we didn't.
    They won, we didn't.
That's about it really. Best forgotten.

One of the things that does stand out was the behavior of the fans who fronted Sullivan. Well out of order.

Doesn't matter about Nene, BFS won't play him. He won't be "fit" or not sophitsicated enough or something.

Off into the ether, back after Spuds, lets hope we give them a shellacking or at least come out with a point
    COYI!!

  3. i must confess Filthy, before kick off, as soon as i saw we weren't in the Purple strip, I had a nagging doubt. When the third one went in I was looking for a fast forward for a live match and when Amalfie ("Whats it all about Amalfie ?") I was wishing my life away. We picked up exactly where we left off against The Saints, except this time the other team brought their scoring boots !

  4. Can't argue with that Mr Smitty, although not very bright of Tiny (however well meaning) to go over to talk with fans after a match like that. You're "off into the ether" ? Our lacklustre showings of late haven't driven you to religion have they ? Isn't Ether a Mormon Prophet ?

  5. Yeah , we don't seem to play as well as Thunderbirds, not that I like the Purple much.

There's gotta be more about Malfi & whatsisface than just a foul. But we'll never know.

Maybe he's friendly guy, maybe he wanted to apologise for a crap game, maybe he didn't expect 100% numptys.

Dunno nuffin about no Mormins, just off to sit at the feet of the Great Bowl o'Gumbo for a few days. Maybe online , maybe not we'll have to see.

  6. Louisiana Bound Smitty ? I'm jealous. Forgot to reply to yours and Filthy's comments on Nene - I don't really know anything about him of late, he's got a few miles on the clock so the obvious question has he gt anything left. Not that we are necessarily going to find out - as we all know, just because their signed doesn't mean Alf will play them ?

  7. Purple not my colour either Smitty, but I was starting to feel that with Adrian in yellow we might have been picking up some positive Mardi Gras voodoo. Well Mardi Gras' s over and so is our FA Cup !

  8. Throttled by a Throstle..
Sorry to say A.P you shouldnt have bothered doing a Saitch for this game.. just like the players didnt bother for this game....5,500 +the 000.'s (watching on the box) of the Claret n blue Armies finest were shit on , wings of a sparrow arse of a crow style.not by Albions Throstle (had to google it) but by their very own...Throttled by a Throstle

Agreed Sullivan should'nt have been accosted like that, understand fans had the right ump...but ...anyway over with now

Nene may get a good few games now that the big ol geordie is done and dealt till next season...We could get Mullered sunday if Arbuckle aint stuck a rocket up their jackseys

  10. As you've pointed out before Slippery, somethings wrong with Song and Noble's off the boil too. We can't seem to get hold of the ball and move it forward. Are the wing backs (Jenko & Cress) being held back because of the Centre Half shortage, or have they lost it too ? If we can't move the ball forward we lose or at best scrape by for a point. Spuds are going to fancy Sunday COME ON YOU IRONS !

  11. Jenko & Cresswell think their chomping A.P but being held back as u say by over cautious Allardyce

Mash them Spuds good & proper

  12. I have and hate to echo a sense of foreboding for sunday. The spuds are on the boil, and with Song andNoble out of sorts I can see a capitulation. It's a test for sam. Can he motivate? has he got it in him to dig deep? or will he say we done'em last time, weah, call it quits, we're safe. Which would be a crime. yes we're safe, but only just, and could easily end up something like 16th, which would be criminal given where we were and the confidence and quality of football we were playing.
So Mash'em..it is exactly what they can't cope with. But will BFS think the same?

  13. Any word on the injury list ? We'll have had 8 days off, I'm hoping we might get Winston or Ginge back ?

  14. Well a PR shitstorm seems to have blown in! Maybe it'll be this months press flavour-and they were looking for follow up after the chelsea- Parisgate. I guess it could lead to a change in climate and the eradication of some nasty shit that shouldn't be around any more. But bad timing-kind of lost the moral high ground. Lack of affordable housing in Boleyn development? Probably no worse than any other development but still sad "cos it is much needed.

  15. Never felt comfortable taking the moral high ground on anything crowd related in England Filthy. I have no reason to change my opinion that every club has a contingent. The football ground is no longer the place it once was and the offended can no longer be depended on to swallow abuse.
As for the Boleyn development, I'm not sure that a deal between dirty book/sex toy salesmen and property developers is where I would expect to find affordable housing ?
It is very much needed the world over, but I don't think venture capitalists are going to volunteer to provide it !

  16. Did you read russell's bit recently talking about the 'disenfranchised' real fans now that it is a money gobbling business. Not excusing intolerable behaviour, but somehow trying to explain it.
With the housing I don't think the surprise is that there won't be enough (any) but that they thought there would be!
Seems to have all quietened down. See what happens at Spuds/Chelsea on Sunday, there'll be a lot of eyes and ears on the crowd.

  17. By "russell" you mean brand Filthy ? No I haven't where would I find it ?

    The one and same...

  19. Found it Filthy, and I think he's getting close to the real nitty gritty. I don't have the answer, but then again when is there "one" answer ? I agree a lot of people have been cast adrift, but perhaps others that were cast away have now found refuge. But the bottom line is these people that upset us, or somebody else - do come from the society most of us live in and football fans do not exist in a vacuum as some would like to pretend.
