West Ham United v. Manchester United

  1. That was better! great having that pace up front. Lovely goal, defence did well, all good apart from the result. Thought the team sat back too soon and invited them forwards, still it was fun, until the death.

  2. Wiiiiiiiile E! Stepped in lovely at the back, I don't think we missed much with him there and Reid & Ginge out, but I think he's better in his midfield role. Lovely goal though tippy tippy wallop!!
We look so much better with Enner / Sakho up front, even if we had lost it was still much better to watch. Sadly when AC is fit again we'll be back to Plan A. Why is it so difficult for BFS to work out that we have options.
All the boys deserve a pat on the back, even Nobby seemed to be in there a bit.
Not sure what happened at the end there, we sorta lost it? or did they get better?
Gutted!! but as many have said I'd have taken a point a head of time so no complaints really.

  4. Well there's no denying it was fun to watch Filthy and I must confess I thought we had pulled it off. They definitely upped their game once we scored (AND WHAT A GOAL !), but how did Van Der Valk salvage a point ? Bring on the big man Fellani, play balls up to him and get the knock down !

  5. In fairness to AC, he has been good of late Smitty, but I still agree we are better team with Sakho and Valencia up front. Must have re-enacted Wiley's goal two dozen times over the weekend and he was a top shelf "fill in" as a centre back (when we first signed him I though it was going to replace Winston). #2 Son reckoned it was the best showing from Nobby all season and I must say I thought everyone put in a shift. Lucky for us Van Persie was still El Kippo when Song made that pass across our goal just after kick off - he does live dangerously that man (bet he gets on well with Adrian) !

  6. Yeah he has, but there is a time & a place for everything, and quoting our fearless leader,no not BFS) "Even if you have the world's best Hammer, not every problem is a nail"
I'd like to think he'd learn and we got some AC/ Nobby / Sacko when needed , or some Enner / Sakho / Malfi or any combo , instead of just the straight AC and someone else every game.
Songs a pisser ain't he, you never know what you're gonna get. I just looked, he's on 3 yellows at the mo I thought there were more.

  7. A good laugh indeed Smitty - Alf Tupper "The Sophisticated Years" ! What could be next - wearing a tuxedo on match days ? Bryan Ferry covering "Bubbles" ? Nouvelle Northern Cuisine ? Vintage Babycham for the Mrs ?

  8. Dare I say it Smitty Song's almost Pyschedelic - moments of brilliance scattered with childish mistakes and the "occasional" disregard for the rules of the game.

  9. Yeah, you gotta love him. Never a dull moment.
Let's see what he does to the Saints

    COYI!!!

  10. Or Us !!
Either way, I really hope we can keep him and maybe we can ? He's far too erratic for Champions League .

  11. Have to say I'm enjoying BFS having a go at Van Gaal. Battle of the big heads there!

  12. I don't like Van Der Valk at all Filthy and suspect the brother is the talent (Divide & Conquer ? You Bet !). Was delighted to see that Alf got far enough up his nose to reduce him to presenting long ball diagrams to the press - no need to even comment on that. I prefer salt and vinegar on me chips to mayonaisse (which aint even salad cream !) !
