  1. This scan is a bit clipped and I will get it fixed ASAP. It's fairly late here in NYC so I will have to wait until my "Tech Squad" wakes up - hopefully in the morning !

  2. Great Saitch AP. Was at the game fantastic night, floodlight cup replay at Upon Park, just like some of the games in the 70's and 80's. End to end stuff, squeaky bum time! May not be many more at UP, glad my two boys were there to experience it.
Great result but not a great performance I thought Everton were the better side overall. They pushed us back, gave us no time on the ball and were more dangerous in front of goal. Basically they were more up for it than us and their football was crisper and neater than ours.
We don't seem to be the side we were earlier in the season, not confident we will have such a good second half of the season. Will be at the Hull game tomorrow to me a must win if we are going to maintain top ten place. COYI!

  3. Thanks as always for your "front line" despatch George. It was one hell of a roller coaster ride just watching the box and Ocean away - I can't imagine what it was like during the shoo-out - Heart Attack City ? As for Adrian with the toss of his gloves and a kick of the boot, all our shortcomings against Everton evaporated !

  4. Adrian the main man since early December, glad he got the headlines. Cup replays at night are really magic. A good night- in the end.

  5. An absolute priceless finish Filthy - top shelf showmanship from what is now another Boleyn Legend. Those of us that weren't there shall have to "hold our manhood cheap" and curse our luck every night of Jan 13th, which should be knows as St. Adrians Day (or San Miguel Night).

  6. Gloves off and bang, could not be better. Hopefully Sam will be more committed to the cup from now on. Also was great to see Carlton get another one. Both Everton games were very close but I think we ultimately deserved to go through. Lets not throw it all away against Bristle

  7. If we're going to have a serious go at The FA Cup, this has got to be the season Don't Hurt 'Em, even the most cynical amongst us must admit a relegation battle is unlikely.
With the next round at Bristle, now is the time. Almost forgot about Carlton after Adrian's Grand Finale - how long was he on before he scored ? not long at all - I'll have to look that up ?

  8. Carlton subbed on 111th minute scored 113th - Two Minutes Max !

  9. In the excitement of what followed almost forgot about Carlton! He certainly earned his money on Tuesday.

  11. Just got to this :)
I had to go out so set the recorder. Watched it when I got back.
Just kick off at 2nd half of ET -recording ENDS AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGG.!!!!!
Figured we'd had it so slumped in to look at result on my computer.
    Yay!!
All in all I agree with George They seemed to want it more and outplayed us much of the game. Sorta reminded me of the last season in the Champs, we seemed to play a lot with 10 men and still came out tops.
I've seen the pens, not quite as nail bitin when you know who dunnit. Adrian still scares me sometimes but he's turning into quite the lad.
I was so pleased to see CC get one, I still think he's worth a squad place and a paycheck. I've got a lot of time for him. Nice nod from Tomka too, him and Ginge do better Carroll imitations than the real thing sometimes.

So it goes, I miss the heart attack moments but thanks to the wonders of the modern world I get to see them with a smug grin.

  12. There you are Smitty ! I was just thinking perhaps you had jetted off for one of those mid-winter sun soaked getaways. A hammock under the palm trees instead of Hammers under the floodlights. Since that oh so fretfull shoot out - things sure have changed for Everton's Mirallas - the man of the match against us, has since missed a penalty and the "fans" are baying for his blood - a week sure can be a long time for a footballer !

  13. BFS says he's targetting the cup! And why not? Be interesting to see his team selections.

  14. Well in theory Filthy, that would simply mean picking the best team available on Sunday, but best for who becomes the question with us ? Got to be a straight out win for us - no replay just straight on to the next round !

  15. Nah, no Arubas or owt like that. Sad to say.
Yep, I'm surprised, considering we couldn't take em easily they seem to be not doing well.
As for Mirallas, he'll be back - or not !
Filthy. What else is he gonna say now we're through. Pillock.

p.s. it was 3 yrs ago on that day that a great Hammer my dad (r.i.p) passed away .but im sure he'd have been watching down on that game with a light & bitter in his hand effing & blinding & cheering them on
